The Hijacker, The Great and Terrible, The Lost One.
The personification of Haunted Grounds, Perpetuation of the Cycle, Corruption, The Shadowed.
Formless, for the Voice of the Original One shattered it’s very being. The only known examples of its appearance are the Great Heartstone and it’s subsequent veins.
- Once a cluster of Unown, I and O Variant. (0011100010101)
- Modern day belief is that Giratina is
Missingno. - They are not, but Giratina is often lumped into that role.
- They are
Missingno’s first victim.
Giratina
- Originally looked like their beta design.
- Was once called the Magnate of Gravity.
A Fall from Grace
- After a time, the Magnate began to feel… inadequate.
- The Children of Angerha, the mortals did not appreciate them. Unlike Time and Space, Gravity was neglected.
- (This was before the discovery/true understanding of Gravitational Force.)
- The Fragmented watched, waited and stuck, befriending the Magnate of Gravity.
- In time, the Magnate was offered an opportunity from the Fragmented.
- They accepted it without hesitation.
- A Grave Error.
MissingNo’s presence? being? self? was far too unstable for their original forme. - (That’s ORIGINAL, not Origin. They’re two separate formes)
- They became withered, rotten and cruel
- The Lost One, powered by the Magnate’s resentment, took away their restraint, the world unfurling into a state of unreality.
- To late, the Magnate realized their mistake. They try to resist, but
MissingNo’s presence in the Magnate mind took control, hijacking them, cutting off their control of their own body.
Then The Original One stepped in, exorcising MissingNo. from the Magnate, stabilizing the world once more.
- As penance, the Magnate of Gravity became the Renegade of the Void, Lord of the Lost.
MissingNo.’s being was eradicated, its remains becoming a plane of reality that its influence is tied to. The Distortion World.- The Renegade was commanded to tend to the Distortion World, to be a gatekeeper to the Void for eons to come.
Many had speculated the former Magnate’s fate. Would the Voice of the Original One exonerate the Renegade after many generations’ passing? Only Time may know.
And Time’s Arrow marches ever onward, never looking back.

MissingNo’s role is derived from Dark Core, Dark Rust, and Bittercold from PMD and Rumble Blast. An accumulation of negativity given “form” for lack of a better word.
“And Time isn’t talking.” is based from @EpicNate’s phrase “only [Blank] may know, and [Blank] isn’t talking.”
(And Time’s Arrow is a Bojack reference.)
The “Lord of the Lost” is taken from Man of the Internet’s Vs. Giratina theme with Lyrics
Beta Giratina being Giratina’s original forme was derived specifically from this post:

I based Giratina’s story more on the fall of man. Adam and Eve had conversed with the Devil-donning the form of a Serpent. He charms both humans into partaking of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, against God’s command.
Adam and Eve were then cursed with strife, for they could not remain in the Garden of Eden. Likewise Giratina is stripped of their role, no longer the Magnate, but the Renegade.
The serpents were made to crawl on their bellies and be the most reviled of creatures. The Renegade is reviled in modern day within Dawn of Exonoration, often used as stories to keep kids out of trouble.
The Renegade was cast out too, MissingNo.’s influence unfurling the control of the very force they were made to represent. This nearly wiped out the survivors of Giratina’s onslaught.
So they must remain in a realm that is effected, but no lives are lost. An Empty World formed of what had been left of MissingNo. when it was exorcised from the Renegade and eradicated.

My reasoning for why Giratina represents Gravity and is NOT the Poké-devil is derived from @oucyan’s comment on this video.
MissingNo., or what’s left of it is based upon how glitches and hacking effect the world from the perspective of the NPC characters, akin to the Darkrai Movie. Everyone in Alamos Town is trapped when the Real World and Dream World merge, the town immersed in a dense fog with liminal elements, anyone who tries to leave is immediately turned around.
Another inspiration is the Devil and Demonic Forces from the Bible. The Devil cannot create, only corrupt, which reflects MissingNo’s effects on the Gen I games. While the this isn’t game-breaking, seeking out MissingNo. for the item dupe glitch still has consequences. The records of your time are reduced to corrupted piles of pixels, shells of their former selves.
Disregarding religious examples, MissingNo. can also represent temptations and humanity’s desire to get more more more. Its negative effects on the world are the consequences of humanity’s greed.
