Okay for real this time. How do people not like Frodo Baggins. This guy is a Delight. He invented being polite. He’s so sweet and kind. He’s a master of sarcasm in he wakes up every day and chooses to have the driest wit ever without once being cruel or mean-spirited about it. Sam canonically thinks he’s too nice for his own good. He’s insanely intelligent, both academically and practically. He’s a great judge of character but even the people he judges and finds lacking he still treats with nothing but compassion. He pities those who do evil because he knows they were made for so much more and is primarily motivated by mercy. He comes to the breaking point of fear and exhaustion and pain and despair and he somehow finds it in himself to keep going. He loves his friends so much. He’s ridiculously humble. He’s literally one of LotR’s three Christ figures. I could go on but I think you get the picture. Anyway I will be a Frodo lover and defender until the day that I die
