Oily Skin? Here’s a 10-Minute Glow Up Routine for You
ALTSnoozed your alarm, and now you have no time to get ready for work? That happens to almost everyone. A long beauty routine is not possible on mornings like these, and if you have oily skin, it can be a real bummer.
But what if I told you that if you want a shine-free base and need makeup that lasts all day, you don’t need to spend an hour getting ready? All you need is 10 minutes and a few reliable products that make your skin look polished and glowing even on busy days. This ‘Glow Up Routine for Oily Skin’ focuses on quick makeup steps to help you feel confident even on chaotic days.
Step 1 – Primer
ALTNever skip the primer if you have oily skin. It helps control oil and keeps the makeup in place much longer. A small amount goes a long way. I recommend the e.l.f. Power Grip Primer, as it blurs the face and decreases the shine. Focus the application on the T-zone, as that’s the area where oil usually appears. This step takes less than 1 minute, so try not to forget it.
Step 2 – Apply a Matte Finish Foundation
ALTA long-wear foundation works best for oily skin. It is good for lasting coverage. Hydrating foundations should be avoided because they can make oily skin appear greasy. Apply Huda Beauty Easy Blur foundation to your face evenly using a brush, and you will notice the magic happen. This foundation offers seamless coverage and a matte finish. It also helps create an even complexion and prevent shine.
Step 3 – Quick Eye Look
Tired eyes can make you look sleepy. To look more awake, all you need is to apply a coat of mascara to your lashes. You’ll see the change right away. This quick step completes the look and helps frame the face.
Step 4 – Set the Makeup with Powder
ALTSetting powder absorbs excess oil and helps prevent makeup from becoming shiny throughout the day. This step can break or make our look. The powder helps makeup stay in place. For a matte and smooth finish, try using the Huda Beauty Easy Loose Baking & Setting Powder. Use it on areas that tend to get more oily, like the forehead and nose.
Step 5 – Powder Blush (optional)
ALTTo add a little pop of colour, you can always apply blush. I recommend using a powder blush like Patrick Ta over a cream blush as it prevents the cheeks from looking greasy.
All left to do is put on your favorite lip gloss or oil, and you are ready to start your day.
Your beauty routine does not need to be complicated or long just because you have oily skin. By using the right products for your skin type and making sure to use a gripping primer and oil-controlling powder, you can create a fresh and glowing look in less than ten minutes. It helps you start your day feeling confident and put together.
