Po and the Lotus

Ok so this is like a modern/cyberpunk AU of kung-fu panda. In this AU most people are hybrids, so Tigress is a half tiger half human, Viper is half snake half human, so on and so forth.

Po is also a girl in this Au (purely for self indulgent reason and because I relate to him the most). She work at her father’s noodle bar at the east district, in front of the red light district.

The jade palace is still there, still a symbol of protection for the valley but it’s influence has greatly decreased.

This is a moodboard I made to help me get inspiration.

• This is going to be a multi-chapter fanfic I’m gonna post on Ao3 eventually.
• The main ship is going to be Tai lung/Po. Tai is around the same age as Po and the furious five.
• There is going to be a lot of heavy topic like sex work, violence, human trafficking, etc…
• I have a rough idea of what I want to write but I mainly wanted to share the idea here.

Introduction:

“Po is one of the last panda hybrid alive. She knows that, everyone knows that. It had always been a problem when she was was growing up. The last panda hybrid, and a girl hybrid, that could be pricey on the black market. The rich billionaires of China could kill to have in their possession a girl-panda like her as a pet.

The first time she was kidnapped she was barely 6, she took out the trash and was promptly swooped away in a van. She spend three days locked up in a cage in an abandoned warehouse. She thought she was never going to see her father again. That night, when she had lost all hope, she heard glass breaking. Coming from the ceiling of the warehouse, Master Shifu and his apprentice broke in and fought against her kidnappers.

She would always remember how that snow leopard fought to get her back from the men that were taking her away. He was only a few years older than her but she was already so strong. That night marked the beginning of her love for kung-fu and of her crush on Master’s Shifu’s favorite student, Tai lung.”

If I have more ideas I’ll probably post them here until I’m done writing that fanfic.

Para ya no poner mas texto en las partes dónde resalta mas es cuando po se queda en la prisión kai lo encierro junto con tai pa q no se fuera y en los momentos finales

This was my favorite part of the whole one hour live:

Keiju shyly asking if Minje knows the singer (Fujii Kaze), and then telling Minje he hopes he can cover the song someday, because he loves the song and he thinks it fits Minje’s voice.

Then Keiju starts singing the song to Minje—even looking at Minje as he does so, as if singing it to him—with Minje concentrated on listening (even though he might not understand the lyrics because it’s in Japanese) and even trying to sing the song himself in the end, much to Keiju’s amused delight.

There was something pure and earnest and vulnerable in this moment: wanting a dear friend to sing for you a song that you love, and that friend trying their best to grant that wish immediately, even though he does not know the song nor the language, because it’ll make you happy.

There’s something pure about this kind of friendship. This kind of love 🥹

The lyrics Keiju sang to Minje:

i got this idea for a comic i think about starting, with speficly lady sapphire, lord shen’s little sister, and about what happend about what happened after lord shen got banished

i love zhen in the kfp4 movie her design, her personality is good its fitting for a fox!!! very slick, sly, sneaky

but we can all agree most of us dislike her as the new dragon warrior right?

Genuinely upset there’s no KFP/TOH crossover, like what do you mean nobody thought Luz and Po could be besties? They could be The dumbasses to ever friendship

So I binged the kfp trilogy and I had a funny realization about the end of the third movie

So Spoilers

So, while in the Spirit Realm, Oogway gives Po his staff and calls him “His true successor”

And one might think…why wouldn’t Oogway choose Shifu, who he trained himself?

Yes, Po is the Dragon Warrior and all that, and that’s *probably* why

But something I noticed Is that despite being calm and wise…Oogway is silly as fuck. He’s a goofy guy

And I like to imagine he sees himself in Po, maybe Master Oogway used to be a silly man when he was Po’s age, and knows they be will wisen in time…but that a wise old master must also be a Silly Little Guy™

Kiara’s second album Vogelfrei been out for a few days on streaming like her Youtube release playlist as well as on Spotify release playlist I think its on Amazon and Apple music providers too (I’m not well versed on those)-On TwitterX Kiara retweeted someone’s post about Vogelfrei hitting some top chart numbers.

I think she’s at the top level (where Ugway met Po in the finale of the third part). I think that you can get there either if you have achieved enlightenment (like the same Ugway). Or if you did a very noble deed during your lifetime (which is what Po’s mom did when she sacrificed herself to save her son)

(Mei Lung is my KFP OC lol, she’s a snow leopard who has mastered the Glacier fighting style, she’s can move silently and her form is smooth like ice. She’s also Tai’s sister. Younger sister. He’s an embarrassing big brother™️ .)
