🍂 What lies on the other side of the mountain? Is that what lives above so different from that which lies below? 🍂

Alpine Village is smaller than it looks, its community secretive and tight knit - not exactly warm or welcoming to newcomers. Mysteries abound, the secretive townsfolk stoke the flame of wild imagination, as they seem not to notice the darkened depths of the ominous murky lakes, nor the towering mountainous landscape that curls over the town like a claw.

And what of the mist that sits at the waters edge, the fog that climbs the mountain and stays there all morning? Some say that the top of the mountain is inhabited … but by what exactly? Oh, none can say for sure - as no one has been brave enough to find out. Or maybe the townsfolk just don’t want you to know.

📍Alamat Filipino Cuisine

Kicked off the night in one of my go to cocktail bars.

• Ordered Puñeta for myself. I haven’t had alcohol in a while and this concoction is something that I really missed. 10/10

• Girlfriend ordered Nata and Gulaman and seemed pleased with it. Rated it a decent 8/10

• Ordered Longa fries for snacks since we plan to have dinner at a different place. Food is always good here! 9/10 because it could benefit more with a tad more spice.

📍Japonesa

A few meters walk from Alamat. This place is also one of my favorite spots.

• California Maki was a little different than what I prefer but still good. 7/10

• Salmon sushi is always a guilty pleasure. 9/10

• Tuna sashimi is also really good, I ended up eating the whole serving. Lmao. 9/10

📍Tambai Alley

Last stop is Tambai Alley. As a Tambai girl by default, I wouldn’t miss a chance to bring the girlfriend here. Used to party here during my college days and cure my hangover with the pares right around the corner.

• Had Hoegaarden rosee since I only want something light. The girlfriend doesn’t drink and I don’t find it cool that I’m the only wasted one between the two of us lmao.

• Ordered their classic yakitori

We were supposed to head to Kondwi but apparently they are closed on Sundays lmao so we decided to get coffee to go instead before heading home.

Overall a great date night, still have a lot of places to take the girlfriend to. Poblacion has always been one of my favorite places. From the party scene to the food trip, it never disappoints. 🤙
