IDENT

Intense and thought-provoking science fiction is always a welcomed viewing experience. Nowadays, people focus more on mind-numbing action and large spectacle set pieces, instead of creating something layered, intimate, and entertaining, which John Scott 3 certainly has with IDENT.

VIVA PLUS Idents (Germany, 2002)

Most likely made by The Designers Republic, at least I’m pretty sure. These idents were part of my early childhood when I had a German set-top box and I used to listen to many pop hit songs along with its competitor MTV2 Pop, which also had amazing, more flashy idents.

All I will say is that the idents certainly had defined the y2k aesthetic that I still adore so very much. :D

Inspired by this ident from New York City’s 11 Alive / WPIX (which I’ve previously reblogged).

Like a Space Dragon is the name of my dream journal (since it’s mainly a sci-fi based alternate universe of the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series), while Pink Tree Television would be the name of my production company if I ever do become famous for my media. The logo for the latter will be my new watermark for now.

I may do more of these idents in the future.
