Not my normal content, but I just finished reading Heartless by Marissa Meyer, and this is all that’s coming to my head right now 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Spoilers incoming for those that haven’t read that book
*Somehow, Catherine Pinkerton and the Queen Of Hearts from the 1951 Disney Alice In Wonderland have crossed paths*
Catherine:…… You’re the Queen Of Hearts in your world too?
Queen Of Hearts: Yes. And I take it you are also a ruthless ruler in your kingdom as well?
Catherine: Yes. *pauses*….. Let me guess.
Queen Of Hearts: Hm?
Catherine: You originally wanted to open a bakery, but your parents didn’t approve of you wanting to work for a living, and they pushed you to accept a courtship and marriage proposal from The King Of Hearts, but then you fell in love with the Court Joker, complicating things for you more and more when your parents kept pushing you to be The Queen Of Hearts? And then your best friend, who you were going to open the bakery with, backstabbed you when she told your parents about you and the Joker? And you decided to eventually run away to the Kingdom Of Chess, where Jest was originally from, to be with him, but then you had to rescue your idiot best friend from a psychopathic pumpkin farmer and his wife who turned into a jabberwock, which resulted in your lover’s death? Then after giving your heart to 3 creepy sisters who turn into animals and live in a well, you finally executed the pumpkin farmer who killed your lover after taking on your role as Queen and marrying the King, changing the order of The Kingdom of Hearts forever?

Meenah: Man, I don’t know, I’m bored as shit! My buddies and I are supposed to be finally making an official debut in our story soon, but the writer of this blog keeps putting it off because she’s too busy writing about all the main twerps getting their futures predicted through magic cards, as if any of them are gonna mean anything in the future! Foreshadowing or somefin, I don’t fucking know! I’m just killing time until we finally get our time to shine! Anyway….. *cheeky grin* Got any advice for a dead girl who never got to fulfill her dream of being a badass dictator in her world, but her alternate counterpart did?

I read quite a lot less in February because of studying and my heart being broken by heartless. I started a few books but ultimately DNF. The books that I read were House of Many Ways by Diana Wynne Jones and Heartless by Marissa Meyer. I gave both of these books 5 stars.
