Gatchaman: Red Impulse is coming in April from Steve Orlando, Riccardo Robaldo, Rebecca Nalty, and Frank Cvetkovic #comics #comicbooks
ALTMad Cave Studios, in collaboration with Tatsunoko Productions, has announced a Gatchaman spin-off series featuring the Red Impulse Squadron. Gatchaman: Red Impulse is written by Steve Orlando, illustrated by Riccardo Robaldo, colored by Rebecca Nalty, and lettered by Frank Cvetkovic.
“Captain Kentaro Washio takes Ken the Eagle on a blistering training run, but then gets a tip that Galactor is building a weaponized ‘attack city’ designed to lure Gatchaman in and kill them all. With Doctor Nambu unaware and no time for backup, Kentaro goes in alone…and crashes straight into Berg Katse’s trap, where even the 'citizens’ are killer machines. Outnumbered, grounded, and fighting with nothing but grit and a sidearm, the Captain must demolish an entire city to keep his team safe…especially the son who doesn’t know their bond.” (Mad Cave Studios)
Gatchaman: Red Impulse #1 goes on sale on April 29, 2026. Cover A is by Riccardo Robaldo and Cover B is by Colm Griffi.

Gatchaman #16 by Sam Humphries, Pasquale Qualano and Rebecca Nalty. Cover by Inaki Miranda. Out in March.
“A wintery interlude and self-contained one-shot! The Science Ninja Team’s ‘day off’ at a mountain ski resort shatters when Galactor unleashes a towering Snow Hare mecha, engineered to trigger a killer avalanche and erase an I.S.O. facility from the map. As the slopes erupt into gunfire, photon blasts, and mecha fire, a mysterious gold-gloved snowboarder steals their victory and vanishes into the storm. By nightfall, one thing is clear: someone even deadlier than Galactor is hunting in the snow.”

Have some concept art for an unmade “Gatchman” movie that was going to be made by the Hong-Kong based movie company Imagi Studios.
This concept art looks fantastic. It’s unfortunate how Imagi Studios shut down after the failure of their adaptation of Astro Boy.
Imagine them doing an animated film based on Mazinger Z or UFO Robot Grendizer. I wonder how that would’ve turned out?
