Day 2 of August workouts is done and since I hurt my back in yesterday’s workout, I decided to just do stretching today and luckily @sydneycummings_ has stretching videos as well! So a quick search and I found a 20 mins Foam Rolling stretch video and it was exactly what I needed! Started with back and arms and shoulders and ended with glutes and quads. And the time flew by. I definitely need to incorporate that in my weekly rotation more often.

Tense upper back and shoulders?
You’re not alone!
🌱 I usually ask at the start of class if people have anything they want to focus on and this has been coming up a lot!
🌿 Our cars, phones, computers, stress levels and even the weather can play a role, and a lovely bonus of easing this held tension is that often the breath flows more freely afterwards.
🍃 We’ll continue to work on this area in Nurturing Yoga and Pilates tonight at 6pm, I use a combination of self massage, gentle strength and stability as well as targeted stretches. Self understanding and compassion is always at the heart of this practice and it’s especially important if it feels like you’ve been carrying a heavy load on your shoulders 💗
