Did a lot of running around today, stopped at the second hand shop and god i couldn’t say no to these.

1960 corningware

My grandma had the collection when I was a little girl and I just bawled my eyes out.

I cant wait to start using these when I cook.

Did some Black Friday shopping at the thrift store! I saw but didn’t buy a full set of the pattern on the left. It’s called Apricot Grove. I found 4 bowls and a mug from the pattern on the left that I tried to buy, but they didn’t have a price on them and when I asked the lady said they originally had a big set of that too, but someone already got it and forgot those. I didn’t want to mess with getting it priced so I left them. It’s the pattern Morning Blue, and I have multiple of the baking dishes already so I wanted those too 😭.

Who is proposing with a diamond ring? Anyone who really loved me would get down on one knee and ask me to marry them with a dollhouse miniature of a vintage Corningware casserole dish

I read a Canadian news article about how Instant Brands, that includes brands such as CorningWare, Pyrex, Corelle, and Instant Pot, is filing for bankruptcy because it took on too much debt.

So out of fear that I wouldn’t remember to get some things I truly needed before they were no longer available I went to the site and ordered myself:

  • some additional PYREX Easy Grab loaf pans and other baking pans because I’m not getting any younger and the ones with those kind of handles that I have really are a lot easier to pull in and out of the oven; plus they have lids.
  • 2 meal mugs because they seamed useful and handy for hub and I
  • a set of Freshlock glass storage containers because I always wanted to try them and these are the size and shape we use the most often in Rubbermaid plastic
  • my true splurge of “I have too many plates and bowls and yet it brings me joy to get a cool plate or bowl from time to time.” Link is for the set of Corelle Portofino to show the pattern. I only bought one of each item.

Savings included: Pyrex bakewear had a mix and match 4 items and save 25% sale which beat the not-on-sale set prices. And 2.5% Rakuten cash back plus they had a coupon for I forget what brand of thing. Also free shipping for orders over $99. :)

Provided links in case you all were curious. I have no foot in the game. I’ve just always liked and used their products.
