I asked my dad for advice on my essay, especially a specific part of it that was giving me trouble, and he instead gave me gemini ai’s answer. I am very unhappy about this.
Also, in case anyone thinks that this could be even remotely helpful, it was absolutely not. It suggested I change the entire topic of my first section, claimed my second section needed more specifics based on my introduction sentence, and told me I should change the third section to be what my second already is. In addition, it decided multiple things that were connected via “and” in my sentences, (example: I love A and B), were actually listed as opposites.
I am very worried about anyone using Generative AI for writing help, and I will definitely be having a conversation with my dad about this
