So I made myself my sona and my patron troll, and then drew my sona god tier on his planet :3
I’m opening up classpect requests again. Send in a character+where they’re from and I’ll give them a classpect+my reasoning
oooo okay :0 so do keep in mind i’m only a bit past the yotsuba arc so i don’t know much about moooost of the characters? so these are just ones i have a bit of a clue about ^^“
light and L are the definition of heart and mind players to me, down to the fact they’re extremely similar yet opposites in many ways. light is extremely self-centered, he’s obsessed with his identity and maintaining appearances of it to other people, and is extremely driven by his pride and his emotions. i like this line from the hs wiki, “They are excellent at putting on and taking off masks as the situation calls for them.” which fits him quite well and his ability to take on and off his nicer, more societal “light” mask and his real “kira” identity on a whim. and while he has intelligent plans, his “thinking ahead” is quite chaotic and he is much better at operating in the moment. L, on the other hand, is very flexible in his identity and doesn’t at all seem to care about feelings or emotions above just staying rational and doing what the technically correct option is. he plans things out quite well and can execute his plans with great efficiency. light is good at working on his feet, L’s better at planning things out, if that makes sense. in terms of classes, i’m not too sure. light could be a bard of heart, L could be a knight of mind? or perhaps a mage. either of those seem reasonable. classes are a lot harder to pin down than aspects.
misa is also pretty well figured-out to me, though she’s definitely more shaky. the closest i can get to her is being a life player? she’s quite positive and cheerful, which definitely fits with life. this line from the wiki feels fitting to me: “They also have the tendency to put other’s needs before their own, which never ends well for anyone, because the Life-bound can grow bitter if they feel their own self-care has had to be shunted aside.” which very much fits with how completely devoted she is to kira and kira’s cause, but also craves attention and validation from others, and gets jealous when she doesn’t get it. however, being a literal murderer doesn’t exactly fit with this, so she’s on the destructive classes or thieving classes scale to me. likely rogue? or perhaps witch. witch is another option. and argument could also be made for prince, but not very much personality-wise.
as for some others, the two shinigami i have some ideas for. rem quite reads as either a space or a blood player to me, both of which stem from her relationship with misa, and ryuk is mostly likely breath, just from his general attitude towards everything. other than that it’s pretty shaky.
sorry if this wasn’t quite what you were asking for! i love death note but i’m a bit too unknowledgeable to be classpecting more characters than this ^^ thank you so much for asking in! and feel free to ask if you have more questions :)

class descriptions from @homestuckexamination, aspect descriptions from The Extended Zodiac (emphases added by me)
[[MORE]]“Those born with the Role of the Rogue are naturally rebellious. They don’t take kindly to the shackles their society puts on them, and would rather do things their way than be bound to an order they don’t agree with, or simply not care much about, whether it be through direct action against the system, or abstracting themselves in their own worlds and interests. As such, Rogues tend to isolate themselves as a way to deal with stressful situations or distance themselves from others. This doesn’t mean they are solitary by nature, however, while selective about those they interact and relate to, they are passionate, open and friendly with those they love, creating strong romantic and platonic bonds that are hard to break. Rogues live for the well being of their small social circle, and aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty if they manage to aid them. At their best, they are generous, receptive and hold strong ideals and convictions. At their worst, they can be impulsive and apathetic.
"Rogues may use their Aspect as ways to isolate themselves from their societies and their circles, which can be toxic to them in excess. However, casting it away is not the solution, as a more moderate interest and a good understanding of it can turn into a more healthy relationship with their Aspect. Where Rogues shine, however, is not in their direct interaction with their Aspect, but sharing it among their peers. They are team players ready to help those they care about, but if their close bonds start turning into obsession, they can end up damaging themselves and those around them. Moderation and Balance are key for a Rogue, and those who manage to get it right can strengthen their group and support them through whatever they may have to face.
"Being one of the Taker Classes, Rogues are the Passive counterpart to the Thieves, and similar to them, their strengths lie in Stealing. Robbing their Aspect from a source or Taking it away entirely, and Distributing their spoils somewhere else, Rogues are adept at taking from their target, only to spread it among their companions. And while they generally allow their loot to be shared among those who need it, it doesn’t mean they can’t use the Aspect they took as a tool to fend off their foes if pressed. Never lower your guard when facing a Rogue, or they may just steal victory from right under your nose, when you least expect it.”
“Those bound to the aspect of Breath are, above all, expansive. Flexible and driven, they leave an impact wherever they go. Like the breeze itself, they are able to sweep others up to carry along in their wake, but also like the breeze, they can be difficult to catch hold of or tie down. Although Breath-bound do make very good leaders, breath tends to be a very personal aspect. Often, heroism comes along as an offshoot of them pursuing their own personal stories. They lead by example, and will routinely be surprised that others look up to or feel inspired by them. They have a tendency to underestimate themselves, and not always out of poor self-esteem. They were just doing their own thing. At their best Breath-bound are motivated, adaptable, and forward thinking, but at their worst they can be volatile, avoidant, and gullible.
"Those bound to the aspect of Blood draw their strength from bonds, from the trust and camaraderie that blooms among a group of people who all share a single vision. Blood-bound are absolutely leaders, but they inhabit more of an inspirational role than a commanding one. They are prophets, rather than generals, giving others the strength and motivation to keep fighting. The Blood-bound can dispense excellent advice even when their own lives and interpersonal relationships are disasters. They can be very "do as I say, not as I do” types. A Blood-bound can often be found on a sinking ship, forcing an endeavor forward with sheer stubborn force of will. No matter how bad things go, a Blood-bound can always count on friends and allies. At their best, they are charismatic, uplifting, and magnetic. At their worst they can be sullen, unkind, and set-in-their-ways.“
:0 oooo. okay this is a fun one. i quite like seer of heart, due to how seers and the seer class interact(s) with the aspect. there’s a lot of ways you can interpret it, but i see seer of hearts being very focused on what comes next, and very specifically what that means for them. they’re reckless, but they’re overplanners, if that makes sense. the abilities they can have go very hand-in-hand with that, of course, with their abilities being very similar to seer of mind and the sort of potential-based/ person-based future telling they have. heart in general is just fun, and quite seer-like, in my opinion. thanks for asking in! ^^
witch of hope is a very good one. witches have a pretty neutral but interesting relationship with their aspects. hope, being one of the more abstract kind of aspects, makes it kind of an interesting combination because of the association of manipulation and control that comes with witches. it’s kind of in a similar position as witch of heart would be, to me, where there could be a lot of moral greyness in terms of the abilities they’d possess. unfortunately witch is one of the classes i’m not too great at analyzing, but witch of hope is a pretty good one to me :)
in terms of a land, it’s not exactly my forte. they’re very character-driven. i’d look on the wiki for the requirements in designing and making a land if you’re interested ^^ thanks for asking in!
The Bard of Space’s role is defined by “Corrupts their own Space or through Space”. The Bard of Space is a passive Space-bound player, and will be the sessions assigned Frog Breeder given their aspect, though due to their class it is entirely possible that this could play out badly. They’ll corrupt Space through their actions, and by extension, could end up corrupting their team’s “ultimate prize”. (Skip to the next red text if you would like the Bard of Space analysis without the individual analysises of the class and aspect.)

Bards are the passive half of the destroyer classes, and their class focuses on passively corrupting their aspect. In the canon franchise/s, we have three canon bards: Gamzee Makara, Cronus Ampora, and Kalian Delfin. In all their behaviors, I find one is prevalent among all of them: they appear to be attracted to those who sort of embody/radiate their aspect. Let’s use Gamzee for example, as the Bard of Rage he is drawn to those such as Karkat, Terezi, or Caliborn due to their excessive output of Rage. Karkat and Caliborn are more evidently ‘Rage’ filled, practically screaming all the time and just being what you’d expect Rage to be as a whole- pure negative energy. Terezi is a more abstract case, one that I’ll explore more in the Rage aspect part of this post.
Kalian Delfin is another bard who shows this trait, being incredibly attatched to all his bonds even if it doesn’t appear so at first. If you’re unfamiliar with him, Kalian Delfin is one of the newest appearing characters in Hiveswap, and was confirmed as a Bard of Blood in the official server in his discord profile. All you need to know is that he is bonded incredibly so to his moirail Cridea, and is significant in Act 3’s demo where he has a major role in the beginning. You could chop up his dependency on Cridea as just being her moirail, but in one post from Jerann’s tumblr account, it’s implied that he’s always been a bit clingy/overprotective of her in general. Along with that, he tends to be very overbearing when it comes to her other quadrants (his hatred towards Luxora and Darien) and generally how she interacts with others (asking her to set him up with Onhors).
But what about how Bards interact with their aspect? Sure, we see one way they tend to be attracted to their aspect in the sense that they flock towards those related to it, but what about their personal relationship? When it comes to a bard’s individual self, they have the nature to tend to corrupt or misuse their aspect for wrong. Whether it’s before or after godtiering (which while on the topic, we’ve never really seen a true god-tiered bard), bards tend to passively destroy their aspect. Let’s take another look at Gamzee and his actions in the story, specifically his use of sopor and his rampage on the other players on the meteor. Sopor acts as a catalyst towards dulling/muting his Rage, sending him into a state best comparable to what we know as being high on weed. This use of sopor acts as corruption towards his aspect, specifically his own supply of it. As for his misuse of Rage, we can use his sober state and the massacre he went on as an example. There wasn’t many other scenarios I could have seen for him to better use that rage, given the isolation part on the meteor and of course the reason/s as to why he seemed to sober up, but causing conflict and death around the meteor is definitely a misuse of rage.
We do actually see a point in the story where Gamzee is able to utilize his Rage for good, tuning into his inner supply and dealing major damage to the Black King in his session’s fight against their Black King. This shows that Bards, alike Princes, can have moments where they can use their aspect for good, and not end up destroying it or misusing it. Kalian’s rebellious spirit is another good example of how bards have the potential to be good, as he uses his valor and fighting spirit to fight against the system of government of Alternia and Trizza’s and )(IC’s dictatorship.
Space is the aspect of Creation, Isolation, Stars, and responsible for creating a new universe. Those bound to Space in the comic of Homestuck are characterized most by their interest in fields of either Art, Science, or Fashion. While not every person bound to Space will be interested in this, nor will every artist or fashion designer be space-bound, the fields of art are most associated with Space. Space is also associated with isolation, both physically and at times emotionally. However, the most popular part of Space is the role its players have: creating the Genesis Frog and negotiating with their denizen, Echidna, in order to light the forge. Those bound to Space in canon are Jade Harley, Kanaya Maryam, Porrim Maryam, Calliope, Tagora Gorjek, Remele Namaaq, Mackle Holdem, and Jerann Mussel.
A few common themes and traits of Space are isolation, art, science, frogs, feminism, and beginnings. A space player in a session would be tied down to a single task in a Sburb session- breeding the Genesis Frog. Given how the two sessions we’ve seen with Kanaya and Jade went, it’s arguably the Space player’s most important task to focus entirely on breeding and creating the new universe for their session. Due to this reason, Space players are integral for a session to flourish, and allow their team even more of a chance to receive the Ultimate Reward.
Personality wise, a space player commonly holds care for their companions, even if they appear to be physically or emotionally isolated from them. For Jade and Kanaya, both were isolated physically from their friends but both still show intense care and love for their bonds. For Jerann, he cares for the truth, despite seemingly being ostracized from the rest of the highbloods of society. Even so, we can see he cares not only for the supposed truth, as well as his current relations like his matesprit Flyboi. This trait can be best described as motherly, given Space’s ties to creation and feminine traits. As stated in the Extended Zodiac, a Space player’s strength also lies in their patience. They can wait for a million years if the promise of a better future is on the horizon, as shown with Alt!Calliope.
For character development, a player of Space will suffer from a variety of things, but most prevalent will be the isolation or loneliness that comes with their aspect. For Jade, it was spending years alone without her friends and boyfriend, for Kanya it was feeling isolated from her other relations even despite her meddlesome nature and in the Meat timeline, her separation from Rose. For Calliope, muse of Space, it was her near entire life until Earth C. Calliope, as the Muse of Space, was shackled to isolation and yet she still shows care for those around her, she shows her fascination with everything, despite how isolated she may feel due to her physical and emotional differences. No matter what a Space-bound person may go through, they’ll always bounce back and be there to support what truly matters.
So, what about a Bard of Space? What entails for a Bard of Space? Well, on surface level, you’d assume your session is doomed. Bards are notorious for their nature of destroying their aspect even if they don’t mean to, so it’s only given you’d assume that your session is cooked. But, it doesn’t have to be that way. Bards, in a rare event, have been shown to be able to rise to the task of embodying their aspect and utilizing it to destroy using it. Not a flowery or beautiful action, but still useful nonetheless. Now, let’s dive into the analysis you’ve been waiting for.
A Bard of Space would ghost their aspect even partially, meaning one of this classpect would be rebellious on the surface, fighting against a corrupt government. But this would not encompass their entire being, meaning a Bard of Space is likely to also be lonely at their core as are all Space players, or be a patient person who, while expressing rebellious ideals, is fine with taking the backseat of things and letting Time run its course. For a few more fun little traits, you could have them be a determined artist or scientist, but they wouldn’t be very good at it for first impressions.. as are most Bards when it comes to embodying and representing their Aspect.
When it comes to Sburb, the Bard of Space would be tasked with breeding the Genesis Frog. For this session, you will more than likely need a Knight to assist your Bard, for without it failure is nearly guaranteed. Your Bard of Space has the role of destroying Space passively, meaning they’ll have an increased failure rate of finding and breeding the Genesis Frog. This could manifest in a multitude of ways, ranging from accidentally killing the frogs around their world, poisoning accidentally creating a cancer inside their universe (similar to the Beta Troll’s session and their version of the Genesis Frog), or simply leading to the destruction of their own session before the forge could be lit.
But let’s focus on the good. Combat wise a Bard of Space would be ideal for close combat, destroying Space by simply being there. They’d be able to eliminate obstacles between their allies and enemies, allowing for easier hits and creating open spaces for battle. They’d also be able to destroy using Space, meaning they could destroy using their own alchemized creations and effectively ’LOCK IN’. Abilities for them would consist of destroying Space by eliminating the negative space between their enemies, destroying using science, and… stuff.
A Bard of Space may sound like a bad role for Sburb, but alike with all classpects… you’ll just need to tap in and find that sweet method to guarantee your session the sweet taste of victory. ;)

okay this took longer than i wanted woops
ok wow school has been kicking both of our asses but the classpect grind never stops!! i figured since opla season 2 is out we should finally post this cuz its been in my notes for literally 2 years LMAO enjoy!!

Classpecting Jessie Characters cause I’m sick in the head
Jessie-Mage Of Heart, Prospit
Bertram-Knight Of Blood, Derse
Ravi-Seer Of Space, Prospit
Luke-Bard Of Time, Prospit
Emma-Sylth Of Breath, Prospit
Zuri-Theif Of Rage, Derse
Ms Kippling- Witch Of Life, Derse
Something something Shura and Aiolia having opposed/paired classes…
Something something Shura, a Knight, having to prove his worth to himself while Aiolia, a Page, needing to prove her worth to reality…
so i understand maids/heirs to “embody” their aspect (to be “made of” it) and i realized. john’s powers LITERALLY let him turn into wind. i’m cooking.
Tmnt classpects are bouncing around in my mind. This is basically a draft that I’m gonna put out there because I’ve only ever seen one take on classpecting them and it was for ROTTMNT. These are more general, and I’m sure you can argue certain iterations have different classpects. I’m currently trying to watch all the shows in order, might come out the other side with different opinions.

i love classpecting but it’ll never not be funny that the fans have put in way more thought and effort to it than hussie ever did
Classpecting is a big part of our system but i dont know shit about fuck so im just kind of bumbling through it and I have no one to ask for help so fuck.
Rose knows how to do this. The ABA guy said something something youre kind of like me so i dont know if that means im Mindbound or if im a Bard maybe. I hardly know what any of these words mean
No one specifically asked for this, but I figured I should bring this up just because it’s something I’m going to continue to reference. Obviously, this stuff is more going forward, as I didn’t really have any of this in mind when I was designing the earliest Fraymotifs.
Mandatory disclaimer that none of this is canon bc Hussie did not come up with many canon things about Fraymotifs I made this shit up for my own benefit okay cool
Partybreakers: much like a Classpect verbiage, they’ll [break the party and break through the party]. Using your allies as weapons is just as viable for attacking the Target as using weapons on your allies is when Partybreakers are involved. It’s less of a “the partybreaker player engages with the Fraymotif in XYZ ways,” and more like “this Fraymotif has XYZ qualities, which makes it a ‘partybreaker.’” So not all Thief/Prince/Bard/etc Fraymotifs would necessarily result in a partybreaker, it’s just that a Fraymotif that has themes of wielding your teammates as weapons (/neg) and/or treating your teammates as obstacles or indiscriminately to the Targets of the Fraymotif is going to be classified as a partybreaker.
Resonances: So Class and Aspect symmetries are really important to how Classpecting works, which is something that Homestuck has explicitly stated. And because Classpecting is the core of Fraymotif design, it only makes sense that it would impact them too. There are 3 kinds of Class/Aspect relationships within a Fraymotif that result in that Fraymotif being exceptionally powerful:
Complementary Aspects - Two heroes with opposite Aspects (e.g. Breath and Blood). This Resonance can be understood as the Aspects balance each other out and the Class dynamics/abilities are exemplified. The Prince/Knight relationship is a great example of this Resonance as seen in Blind Cavalier’s Fanfare.
Complementary Classes - Two heroes with paired Classes (e.g. Knight and Page). This doesn’t mean they do opposite things; it’s more of a matter of how Active/Passive they are with their Aspect, and this resonance can be understood as the Classes balance each other out and their shared role is exemplified. I haven’t specifically addressed this kind of Resonance yet in a Fraymotif, and the only example I have is pre-THE SHIFT so I didn’t design it with this Resonance in mind, but Progression Ostinato is a Witch of Breath + Sylph of Life combo where the Witch and Sylph share the role of Controlling their Aspect (the Witch through conduction of their Aspect and the Sylph through the induction of their Aspect). In that example, the heroes jointly Freely Control the Healing of their teammates.
Compounding Classes - Two heroes that share a Class (e.g. a Witch of Breath and a Witch of Life). This Resonance can be understood as the Classes overlap and the interaction/dynamic between their Aspects is exemplified. When you get, say, two Princes together, you’re going to have an Even Bigger Destruction on your hands than if you only had one. Expiring Vivace is a good example of the kind of compounded potential two Witches have.
Compounding Aspects are not possible in Fraymotifs, as each Fraymotif only has one player of a given Aspect.
Below is a small, very small, very very small, snippet of what my Fraymotif Checklist Spreadsheet looks like. The first image is of the Breath Classpects (x axis, sorted by Activity) and Life Classpects (y axis, sorted by Activity) pairings. The red-shaded cells are the Complementary Class Resonances (Blame Hussie for why the Class pairings are janky like that) and the green-shaded cells are the Compounding Class Resonances. The second image is of the Breath Classpects (x axis, sorted by Activity) and Blood Classpects (y axis, sorted by Activity) pairings. It’s the same as the other screenshot but all those cells are shaded blue, because Class Resonances and Aspect Resonances are independent of each other.

also for all the nerds out there my checklist is topologically a conical surface.
Anyway, that’s my rant thank you for listening :3. If anyone has thoughts, I’d be happy to hear them!
The Light-y horse blinders are really funny. Common Prince Attire IMO. I think a Prince of Void’s pettiest pet peeve is a useless pocket. “Absolutely do not wear cargo pants if you are not going to put something in every pocket.” “Fake/tiny pockets on women’s clothing should be tried as a war crime and is reprehensible like, morally.” “You have [some number] empty captchalogue cards. For the love of god use them.” type character.
