The dumbest people you could imagine exist, and they’re all selling skulls on eBay. You can’t fool me, babygirl. I have the skulls of most of the mammals that live in the eastern US in a cabinet in my fucking living room.

hey y'all, i found this pelvis on one of the newer trails at the cane creek mountains natural area in snow camp, nc. any idea what it is? inaturalist folk don’t really seem to know either. it gives me horse vibes but the obturator foramens seem a bit too elongated for that. idk

what kind of animal is this vertabrae from

pikachu for scale
(i meant to post this a month or so ago but i forgot about it until right now that’s how little i use tumblr)
hey yall does anyone know how to identify animal teeth? I have a tooth I found at the beach and idk whose it is…. please
Ok guys, this is a major crisis, need help, I’ve been trying to label my skulls and forgot what this guy was, looked in my past post and saw that I bought it as a ‘grey mongoose’ at the Oddities convention years ago and took it at face value and forgot that there are African and Indian species with grey in the name. I don’t think it’s African, but I can’t find really good examples of Indian grey (Herpestes edwardsii)! Anyone have any for reference? The teeth of mine are fucked (look grinded down?) so not helpful.

Here he is with a flat headed kusimanse (it IS a mongoose) on the left, similar but the jawline has more of an angle. Maybe slightly sharper snout. I’m thinking it could be a different species of kusimanse?

Here he is with a Javan mongoose, obviously much longer pointed muzzle than the Java who looks more like a mustelid.

I am fairly certain he isn’t a viv, here he is with a cape genet which has longer snout and bigger eye sockets

could someone help me identify what animal these are from? we found these on abandoned tracks and that’s the piece i made with them! all pretty small
OMG YOU ALL I FOUND BONES IN THE WOODS BY MY BACKYARD!!!!! i’m so happy!!!!
(just in case- cw for animal bones!)
ALTi’m not certain what animal they belong to, but my bets are on a white-tailed deer!!
i cleaned them as best as i could with peroxide and dish soap (rinsing in between), but i’m not certain what else i can do to clean them more. i’d love some advice, please!
(also i just wanted to add that the bone on the right has teeth marks on the other side! i’m guessing a coyote was chewing on it. that little tidbit wasn’t very important, but i thought it was cool anyways ^^)
posting this bone again because my curiosity has gotten to me
does anyone know what this could be from i think it’s probably like a chicken or maybe a fox but i figured why not post it and see what the masses think

you can’t really see in the picture but it’s kinda curved

hi everyone! My boyfriend already posted this on Reddit so if you’re super active in bone id you may have seen it, but does anyone have any idea what this might belong to? I found in on the Tybee island beach in Georgia.

I was given this, and I don’t know what it could be from. Could someone help identify it?
I think it’s half of a skull, and the length is a little longer than my hand. So a little over 20cm but definitely under 30cm.

Can someone help identify this bone ?
It was found in a mudflat during low tide around Bath in the NL if that helps somehow.

At this point I’m trying everywhere lol
Found this guy at a local trail and I don’t know what it is. Deer and rabbits frequent the area and it used to be a cow and pig farm. I’m thinking part of a skull or leg bone of some kind??
