i know most people hc applejack as white, but i think she could be mixed black & white. i can see pear butter and the pears being black, and apple jack and her siblings are white passing and didn’t know that they were anything but white until learning about the pears.

to me, the whole storyline with her and bright mac is reminiscent of the stories of mixed couples in the 19th to 20th century, though i understand it’s also just supposed to be a pony romeo and juliet.

disclaimer that i’m not black nor white myself so idk if this is a hot take or not lol
