The states that seems to have the highest demand for librarians now (based on the ALA job page) are:
California (very few of these jobs are paying enough to meet the high cost of living in California)
And Florida (banning books left and right and the government there is incredibly hostile to libraries and library workers)

Sometimes the best things happen when you say yes to things you normally wouldn’t say yes to.
This weekend I:
1: Went to an anime convention for the first time
2: Watched a film adaptation of a YA novel
and this was probably the most alive and most myself I have felt since my summer trips around Asia with my friends last year.
Just thought I’d start posting my random thoughts during the year. Yup.

Hi I’m still alive (barely), I was staffing at ALA 2026, so if you happened to come across a Nobara Kugisaki buying out all the Malleus merch, that was me. Didn’t cosplay today cuz I’m too damn tired and had to wake up early for a ZOIDS panel.
Just here to say, because my dumbass forgor, but with the addition of Swing from the second part of the NBC event of lost in the book, all I can say is that whatever Swing sees Yuu (ewe) as is up in the air, but he’s a guarantee because of Skully.
And as a result, Malleus and Lilia are like hella against Swing. And Swing fucking knows it, so he can and will deliberately smack the hornet’s nest for entertainment. While Floof is no thoughts, head empty as she and Skully have ghost to ghost communication (because for all intents and purposes, while Floof is human, it’s only through technicalities cuz she’s also kinda sorta a ghost?? Yeah)
Anyways that is all, I got a Homestuck panel to go to, so feel free to ask me about Floof because I’m locking in this year for fanfic writing now that I have Microsoft Word again AND my baby Malleus dragon plush came in. Also collected a Maleanor ribbon from ALA so I gotta commit.
(Also i preordered book 2 of the Twst Light Novel so I’m pretty fucking set this year for Savanaclaw )
