Alrighty then. You know what’s a great motivator sometimes… Frustration. And you know what I was frustrated with these last few days/week. Mystic powers!
@brightlotusmoon and @sweepclean already know my pain but I’ll say it. These last few days to week I had been struggling to find cohesive answers on mystic powers for 03 and the idw comics. An answer that wouldn’t have me stuck forever going through endless hours of a whole scrapped season and a large comic franchise. In other words a wiki page on how the mystical powers work in these series… And I didn’t get a complete wiki to get the feats I could find I had to scrap around several wikis for various characters. And still didn’t an answer to satisfy my itch for completed knowledge(but that’s also on me, magic is supposed to have some wonder and mystery to it but in order to immerse myself I just need to know about it all in some detail.)
Fun fact if you search for any kind of mystic power even if it’s for these 2 series you just rise content. They truly are the kings of mystical power.
So instead of fighting it I’m gonna go and flow out my own idea. And I needed to write down my version of mystic power anyway
This was a long long intro but strap in my lovely readers as I write down my version of mystic power.

Harnessing mystic power was an accidental thing by chi channelers. A result of magic users trying to connect with their spiritual roots once again and try to tap into a tamed version of the lost power of the wild days.
What they got was mystic power or mystical essence. A powerful energy that’s made by the unification spirit chi and either arcane chi or mental chi. As such mystic essence is the unification of the physical and spiritual energies of the body and the world, resulting in a much more potent source of magical and spiritual power. This potent energy actually means you need less energy to use spiritual or magical techniques then you would with their individual chi.
Mystic essence is more of a branch that connects the 2 energies back to each other. The union performing an interesting change on magics properties. As such it’s better to think of a mystic as someone who wanders between the magical and spiritual worlds.
The 6 elements that magic is associated with seem to shift around and open themselves to other circles of elements. Like the infamous wuxing 5 from China or the godai of Japan or even the classic 5 elements in witchcraft. It’s believed this flexibility to no longer be completely bound by one elemental formation and letting other elements take the star stage is not only the result of spirit energies properties, but is part of why this energy is so potent. It even opens up new possibilities relating to magics interactions with spirits outside of the traditional sagehoods abilities to hyper specialize
However no power is without downsides.large amounts of Mystic energy traditionally needs to be made or channeled from other sources(that is unless you have the ability to tap into large reserves of mystic energy from your wellspring naturally. Something that requires a massive mutation within the more yoki pulse laden area of miracles) there’s a mystic energy wellspring in your body but it’s hard to access for long and even harder to put energy back in by your own hands many mystic warriors often then just store there mystic power in either the spiritual heart or your arcane anchor. Or within an item of their choice and let the energy naturally leech back into them
Mystic energy is also affected by their elemental connections now. Certain elements can strengthen or weaken your techniques if not fully power them up too much or flat out extinguish them. With magic you didn’t have to worry about this kind of elemental connection.
And finally because this energy is the fusion of your physical and spiritual chi it’s twice as damaging to you if you strain yourself. And if you dare try to take in or channel more mystic energy then your wellspring has capacity for the. You’re really gambling that your body won’t start shredding itself into pieces.
This special fusion of magic and spirit often use any form of channeling technique they want to cast it. Similarly they aren’t bound by choosing between energy generation methods. They can use spirit energies purpose and or arcane energies faith.
The color for mystic energy is actually neon colors. A rather strange color considering the combination of pure deep color and pastel color
This energy takes inspiration from not just irls ancient mysticism but also genshin impact and obviously tmnts mystic powers
Okay this post feels a bit more messy then my last time I did an energy post. Might be doing reorganizing of it later if I need to.
