Visitor

Found this big, sow? Turns out there is no term for a female snake. This snake is pretty big, so I assume it is a she. The first pic is about 1/3 of its body. Tried to get it to run away out of the yard (I have dogs) but instead it decided it is staying and would rather try to bite.

Most of the time, they run away. They, assuming is a garner snake. This one is a different color than the ones I normally see.

A red squirrel digs through the snow in search of hidden nuts. Squirrels have an excellent sense of smell and can detect food that’s buried under 30 centimeters (one foot) of snow!
