everyone was like “oh play expedition 33 it’s the best final fantasy in years and you’re into that shit” so I procrastinated that and played tunic instead. and girl.

play tunic, it’s the best old school zelda in years but it’s also a fun as fuck meta puzzle game and it was made by such few people but it has so much LOVE in it.

I’m convinced Tunic is one of the most unique adventure & exploration games out there but, unfortunately, it’s not a game for me.

I expected more of a puzzle-oriented game and was met with really tough combat in a souls-like setting. Even after turning on assist-mode I was stuck in backtracking hell running in circles which frustrated me and made me drop the game after about 5 hours.

It sucks because even with how little I played I caught a glimpse of what makes this game special through understanding the manual and its secrets, little by little.

After dropping the game I did watch a really long video of someone getting through the game and figuring out the true ending which only confirmed how incredible this game truly is. A masterpiece, but sadly not one for me.

Here’s where I figured out what these things do. I don’t know how much more I’ll post of this game, but I figured this was minor enough. It’s not that I think this game needs to be secret or anything so much as the ENTIRE game is ONE GIGANTIC puzzle and I don’t want to ruin it for anyone who has yet to play.
