I think i forgot to post this, but six weeks after Beethoven passed away, I got yet another delayed condolences letter, this time from the vet who diagnosed him (not my normal vet since they were full). The problem is, i never told them Beethoven had died. So either 1) someone found my blog by accident, in which case it would be pretty obvious the timing and diagnosis lined up, 2) the normal vet contacted them, which is fine but I don’t know when or why, or 3) they assumed that enough time had passed that he must be gone by now, which is the most disturbing option of the three.

In other news, I will catch up on my ferret posting soon, but it might be a minute before Flat Fert Friday restarts, because Vivaldi is the least flat ferret I’ve ever met.

Yesterday: little sleep and no period. This is it. I feel like I have been run over.

Today: after many naps and finally getting my period. Worked the whole day. Laughed and smiled. Took out the trash. Left the house.

Alright, long time coming this was, but I really wanna crowdsource some answers here.

TOPIC 1:

There are three helmets, three writing staffs, and a lone mask on the Sun Station. Why? There are no other bodies on the Sun Station except Idaea’s, and there are no trees at the warp tower to the Sun Station. No suits either, just the helmets. How does one interpret this?

TOPIC 2:

Why are the Nomai on the Vessel in the Hatchling’s vision to the Prisoner depicted as having green and red suits? We know that the Nomai aboard the Vessel have blue suits, and the Hatchling would also know this, given that you have to find Escape Pod 3, find the Nomai Grave with all the blue-suited corpses floating around, and shoot your scout into the seed, just to initially locate the Vessel. Could it be a continuity error or does it suggest that the Nomai on Escall’s Vessel wore different colors depending on what group they were affiliated with?

I highly doubt it would be the latter, as various murals show Nomai from the same groups wearing different colors (green and cyan respectively); speculatively, the green suit represents a mentor and a cyan suit represents an apprentice. However, I could be wrong, and that the green suit represents Nomai from Ember Twin while the cyan suit represents Nomai from Brittle Hollow. But then what of Nomai on Giant’s Deep? Why is every suit we see from every Nomai an in between color of the green and cyan, regardless of where they come from? For now, I’ll stick with the mentor/apprentice dichotomy explanation in that regard.

TOPIC 3:

Do we think that the jellyfish were before or after the Nomai’s time? We can infer that the jellyfish originated from the planet before Dark Bramble, and when Dark Bramble split the planet apart, the jellyfish were seeded on Giant’s Deep. So, I would figure that the Nomai would make some mention of them, especially when they were working on the Orbital Probe Cannon, right? No mention of the Bramble Island with the frozen jellyfish, and no mention of the jellyfish below the current. Odd, as the Nomai are very curious beings, especially towards other lifeforms. It’s leading me to believe that none of that existed while the Nomai were living in the solar system, but it also just doesn’t line up with the timeline as we know it. Dark Bramble already exploded when the Nomai arrived, and therefore it would have spread the planet’s pieces all over the solar system. Unless the jellyfish piece of the planet got flung out later on? I must be missing something…

HONORABLE MENTION:

Alright, I’ll bring this up, too. What is the deal with the Tower of Quantum Trials? Why is it on the north pole of Giant’s Deep? It has a landing pad on the island for Nomai to park their shuttles on, but Nomai can only land on places that are on the equatorial plane, not the poles. Plus, the landing pad would imply that this island would be prone to getting launched by cyclones, and yet it’s sitting in the most peaceful part of the world, where no cyclones can reach it. I, for one, am under the belief that the island used to be on the equator until it started drifting further north. What do you think?
