I am currently in the very beginning stages of learning how to make theme music for each of the Boss Fight battles. Since making each theme is going to take a while, I’ll list some inspiration for each character in the meantime. These songs of course belong to their rightful owners and I’m only posting them here to give you guys an idea of what to expect in the future.

The temptation to write a Fortune in Obey Me fic is so strong. I don’t know what it is, but just the thought of getting her slowly adopted by family of demons just sounds so much fun to write. Of course, doing all the research necessary to ensure I write the OM characters accurately wouldn’t be nearly as fun lol 😂

I just felt like talking about the Hawks & Fortune relationship in TABF, but since that will include his background as well as other manga spoilers, I’ll put everything underneath the cut to avoid accidentally spoiling anyone.

When I first introduced Hawks into TABF in the final chapter, I mostly did it for fun cause I found him to be an interesting character and I thought he and Fortune would have a fun dynamic. 

I didn’t really think about Hawks’ background that was still mostly unknown at that point or about how he was still a relatively new character at that point, meaning there was still much to be learned about him as a whole.

I was also clearly not thinking about all the future manga arcs cause at the time I did not expect for me to end up writing so much more content for the TABF after finishing the main story lol

But I’m really glad that I made that decision to include Hawks when I did, both because Fortune is able to assist with his double agent work and because I just truly think they have a good dynamic that can result in a lasting, strong bond they can both greatly benefit from.

While Hawks really isn’t the type to get overly attached to people due to his upbringing, I feel like he would notice the signs in Fortune right away that point toward her having a background similar to his which would lead to him taking an interest in her, and this would in turn make him want to, for the first time, disobey an order from the HPSC.

At first, he makes the internal defense that he wants to observe her a little longer before sounding the alarm, but after the confrontation about his double agent status, he realizes he really can’t betray this honest girl, who is willing to trust him to that degree, something that he would never expect from anyone.

Sure, he’s got tons of loving fans/admirers who believe in him, but Fortune isn’t trusting him in because he’s a hero. She trusts him as a person. Despite hardly knowing him, she wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, and he just doesn’t want to break that trust. 

More than anything, he doesn’t want her wings to be metaphorically clipped like his. He doesn’t want her to end up in the same kind of cage as him, which would absolutely happen if the HPSC got their hands on her. 

I just really think Hawks could use a friend like Fortune who cares about him as a person, who genuinely enjoys his company/talking to him, and who wants him to live not because the world is safer with him protecting it but because he’s her friend and she would be sad if he died.

This friendship really blooms after the Paranormal Liberation Front War, which thankfully ends way better than canon cause Shigaraki never gets revived due to that machine never getting destroyed.

It’s during the Dabi/Gigantomachia confrontation during the TABF version of that war that Dabi spills everything he knows about both Hawks’ and Fortune’s pasts to everyone who’s involved in that battle at the time, so that’s how the two learn about each other’s backgrounds, which are unfortunately pretty similar.

Being how they are, Fortune & Hawks wouldn’t treat each other any differently after learning about each other’s pasts. There’s just this silent understanding shared between them, which helps solidify their friendship.

After the war, I see Hawks being a lot better off due to the HPSC getting attacked liked it did in canon, an event that’s even worse in TABF since that ReDestro clone doesn’t fade away until Hawks finally arrives to take care of it after he subdues Twice and drops him off with the police. 

While obviously there would eventually be replacements for those who were lost, I see most of the corrupt members getting taken out, if not all of them, since that clone could’ve easily killed everyone, so the HPSC would basically be rebuilt from the ground up and hopefully moved in a better direction.

Hawks would basically be a free man at this point since none of the usual people are around to control him, so he can focus on doing what he wants and striving for that dream of a day when heroes have too much free time on their hands.

Overall, his hero work schedule would still be the same since he’ll always be a hard worker, but he’ll get more opportunities to take it easy. During those breaks, I could see him hanging out with Fortune and taking the opportunity to really enjoy personal relationships ‘cause the poor man deserves it.

In summary, I want Hawks to get lots of love and support, so that’s exactly what he’s gonna get lol

After giving it more thought, I think it would be better if the Big Three all have different reasons for losing their voice/hearing/sight rather than just have them all get hit by a Quirk that took their voice/hearing/sight away.

So, while I’m thinking Tamaki gets hit by a Quirk that does that like I said in my last post, the situations for Mirio and Nejire would be different.

For Mirio, maybe he dealt with a villain who had a sound related Quirk so rather than just remove his hearing it just did damage to it like what Present’s Mic Quirk can do.

For Nejire, I like the idea of her getting sick and catching laryngitis which results in her losing her voice until she recovers. I like that idea cause it could basically become a sick fic where Fortune takes care of a sick Nejire. 

I think that would be cute since I could see Nejire as the type who’s all whiny/grumpy when she’s sick especially if she loses her voice. So she basically really clingy and just wants Fortune to dote on her to help her feel better lol

Regarding the Big Three fic, I actually have an idea for the setting of Tamaki’s chapter. Shocking, I know XD

I really like the idea of it happening a few years after he graduates since I want the setting for the fic in general to be after Fortune’s first year at UA. Rather than one set year, I just wanna mostly keep things vague and have these events happen over the years.

Anyway, the reason I want Tamaki’s chapter to happen multiple years after he graduates is because of this post. 

Yes, that’s right, folks. I wanna officially bring in the Tamaki has a crush on Fortune idea into the series XD

Or at least, I just want Tamaki to get really flustered around Fortune cause of the magazine Nejire gave him and have him be in denial over having a crush cause I think that would be really entertaining haha

So, basically, a few days after Tamaki reads that magazine, he gets involved with a villain whose Quirk causes him to temporarily lose his eyesight. 

Unsurprisingly, Tamaki does not handle this turn of events well. While his anxiety has gotten better over the years, events like this make it get as bad as it used to be.

That’s why Fatgum has Tamaki head back to his apartment for the day, but he’s reluctant to leave Tamaki alone. That’s why he asks Fortune, who had come over for a surprise visit, if she’ll keep Tamaki company until the end of the workday.

As a result, Fortune & Tamaki end up alone together in his apartment. Cue Tamaki internally freaking out and having several mini panic attacks throughout the course of the fic cause he can’t stop thinking about that magazine lol

So, going back to the last post I made, I think it’d be fun to include some tropes like the kind I used in Surprisingly Close, so feel free to share any ideas you might have! ^^

As promised, here’s a post detailing what Fortune got for Christmas. I’m just gonna focus on her since Eri mostly got toys along with a few cute pieces of clothing lol

As I’ve mentioned before, the 1-A students teamed up to pick out gifts for Fortune & Eri, so they didn’t get 20 presents a piece from the class lol 

And the same can be said for Class 1-B. Although, they didn’t split up into so many separate groups like Class 1-A. They just as a whole picked out a few gifts for Fortune and Eri. 

However, Monoma & Kaibara also secretly bought presents for Fortune XD

All these presents were addressed as coming from Santa, so Fortune never gets a confirmation of who picked out what. However, some presents are obvious enough that she can figure out who picked them out.

For example, Kaibara got her a camera since she had been wanting one after spending time working on her photography skills while on Nabu Island and had asked him to help her pick out one once she got back to UA. 

He decided to follow Komori’s advice and go ahead and get one for Fortune since Christmas was only a few days away by the time of her return. Plus, this way he knows he can get her a present that he’ll know she’ll like haha

Since I’m already talking about a 1-B student, I’ll go ahead and mention what the class as a whole got for Fortune: 

A cute winter outfit that all the girls worked together to buy. They each picked out a different part of the ensemble. 

A garden box that Fortune can hang on her balcony and multiple seed packets so she can grow her own herbs. They made sure to decorate the box to make it look really cute. 

Bath & beauty products/fragrances that are good for relaxation. Cause she had been so stressed because of her stalker, they decided to get her some stuff that could help her relax.

Monoma’s present was a scarf that he handknitted since he thought nothing could surpass a handmade gift lol

Now, let’s move onto Class 1-A.

Bakugou & Kirishima: New running shoes. Bakugou noticed that she has been wearing the same pair of shoes for forever because she’s such a pennypincher, so he decided to take matters into his own hands. Kirishima was in full support of the idea and wanted to find some shoes that were as cool and manly as Fortune lol 

Midoriya, Todoroki, & Iida: A new spice rack filled with pretty much every spice known to man. Thanks to Todoroki’s & Iida’s thick wallets, it was easy for them to acquire the really expensive spices. Midoriya took care of buying the actual rack since that was within his budget lol

Yaoyorozu & Jirou: Am electronic tablet that Fortune can use for work and for pleasure such as reading so Fortune wouldn’t always have to go to a bookstore if she feels like reading. Yaoyorozu took care of that and the case while Jirou got a giftcard for Fortune to use for buying the books. 

Uraraka & Asui: They got her a cat-themed apron and matching oven mitts.

Aoyama, Hagakure, & Ashido: They picked out a cute outfit for her like the 1-B girls did and also got her some cute hair accessories. 

Kaminari, Mineta, & Sero: An DVD boxset of an anime Fortune showed an interest in and some merch related to her favorite anime/video games

Ojiro, Satou, & Kouda: They unknowingly did the same as 1-B and got products that they thought would help Fortune relax. They also got her a free massage at a place not far from the school.

Shouji & Tokoyami: At Dark Shadow’s behest, they got her a pillow they happened upon while out shopping that looked like him since Dark Shadow wouldn’t let up until they agreed lol Aside from that, they got her a picture holder that hangs from the ceiling cause they know how much she likes decorating her room with pictures

Next is Shinsou, Hatsume, & the Big Three.

Shinsou: A cat-earred hoodie with matching socks

Hatsume: She created a mini flying device that basically acts as Fortune’s personal assistant at the dorm. It can watch whatever food Fortune is cooking whenever Fortune needs to leave the kitchen for whatever reason and will let her know when the food is ready so the food won’t burn. It’s also capable of helping with chores since it can carry a great amount of weight despite its small size, so it could carry a basket of laundry for Fortune. It also acts as a second pair of eyes to watch out for Eri while they’re at the dorm. It’s one of Hatsume’s most successful inventions to date lol

Big Three: They also got her more things to hold pictures for display, most of which had a cat theme like cat shaped frames. They also got some fairy lights and other cute dorm room decorations.

And lastly the teachers.

Midnight: As a gag gift, she got Fortune a pair of handcuffs, but when she was playing Santa, she got Fortune some cute clothes.

Thirteen: A jacket made to resemble her hero costume since Fortune has said before how much she likes her costume since Fortune finds it really cute. It’s really soft and comfortable. Hugging Fortune while she’s wearing it is like hugging a marshmallow haha

Mic: A deluxe spa day package along with a note from Santa who said he recommends taking Mic for her plus 1 lol 

Nedzu: Several packets of vegetable seeds along with a note saying that a garden area has been prepared for her. Fortune had brought up to him one day about growing her own vegetables since it’s cost-efficient and because Eri had shown an interest in gardening after seeing it on TV, so now, they have their own garden area behind the dorm, courtesy of Power Loader’s Quirk lol

Power Loader: He built a garden shed for the gardening tools he bought her and built a covering for the garden so it’ll be protected from the elements. He also made a side garden area just in case Fortune and Eri wanna try growing flowers too.

Snipe: A giftcard to the local cat cafe and a stylish hat that he thought would suit her.

Cementoss: A mini zen garden. They help him relax, so he hoped it would do the same for her. 

Ectoplasm: One of those devices that plays relaxing sounds to help you sleep but can also be used as a speaker that you can hook your phone up to and play regular music through. 

Vlad King: A giftcard to the local dog cafe and a cat-themed charging dock for her cell phone

Hound Dog: A really nice foot massager

All Might: He got her a hat, scarf, & mitten combo that’s modeled after Midoriya’s hero costume since he knows how much it would mean to her to be the first person to get merch modeled after her hero. He made the design subtle enough that everyone wouldn’t immediately realize who the hat/scarf/mittens were modeled after since he didn’t want to bring unwanted attention to Fortune & Midoriya’s close relationship, so only those who know all the details about that relationship would notice. He also got her some really nice jewelry and clothes that Melissa helped him pick out. Santa Might went all out haha

Recovery Girl: Her gifts were brought by Santa Might lol She got Fortune a first aid kit that’s packed with everything a trouble magnet like Fortune could ever need. It’s small enough to fit in her backpack, so you can bet she’s taking it everywhere she goes haha

As I mentioned in my last post, I loved WHM, and after watching it, I definitely wanna make a TABF adaptation. Obviously, that will happen way down the road cause I wanna wait until it’s on DVD so I can watch it more first.

Originally, I had thought that I might not be able to include Fortune in the move’s events, so I had come up with a separate movie plot to happen during that time which would’ve focused on Fortune & Shinsou with some Hatsume action too. 

However, that idea is out the window now that I know that not all of the heroes left UA. I had assumed everyone was involved with the movie’s events but that wasn’t the case. So, Fortune & Shinsou going on an adventure while there are no heroes around is sadly not an option now lol

Thankfully, I do think I will be able to find a way to squeeze Fortune into the movie’s events in a way that won’t ruin the flow or make things too easy for the heroes.

Hopefully, by the time the DVD is out, I’ll have a more solid plan for what I wanna do lol

I’m so excited about getting to see World Heroes Mission in theaters tomorrow. I’ve been looking forward to it all month ^^

Of course, I’m also excited to see if I get any ideas for the TABF version haha Considering the setting, it seems likely that I’ll need to come up with a separate plot altogether to happen while the movie events happen since I don’t see the pro heroes willingly taking Fortune overseas lol

However, I might get Fortune directly involved with the movie events if I feel I can make it happen in a way that won’t mess with the movie’s flow, so I’ll just have to wait and see what I’ll end up doing.

Y’all know how I write Dark Shadow as if he’s his own character and make him even more human-like in TABF than he is in canon?

Well, recently, an idea has been rolling around in my brain that could explain why Dark Shadow is like that in TABF.

What if the reason Dark Shadow started exhibiting more human-like behavior was because during the course of his and Tokoyami’s time at UA he was treated more like a living being than just a Quirk?

Like up until that point, Dark Shadow was just seen as a Quirk in the world’s eyes while Tokoyami and his family actually treated him like a living being. That’s why he mostly only popped out to talk when he and Tokoyami were alone or at home.

However, at UA, things are different because Fortune loves him and treats him just like she would any other living being. This, in turn, leads to all the other kids treating him similarly, so he’s basically like another student of Class 1-A. 

As a result, Dark Shadow, in a sense, becomes more like a human because of this new environment. That’s why he more vocal about his feelings and more prone to act without first being ordered to by Tokoyami. 

Obviously, this comes with its drawbacks since he does things that embarrass/annoy Tokoyami, but one good thing is that Dark Shadow is now more willing to act without orders in a battle situation. 

Like during the TABF version of the second round of the Joint Training Arc for example. In canon, Dark Shadow doesn’t do anything when Tokoyami starts choking on Komori’s mushroom, but in TABF, he gets angry and goes berserk because she dared to hurt Tokoyami.

I dunno. Maybe this is just something that only makes sense in my head, but I thought I’d share it anyway lol

Also, in regards to Dark Shadow going berserk in the JT arc, I know Kuroiro acts like he has never seen that before in Dark Knights, and I would say that’s because Dark Shadow knocks him out pretty much instantly during the JT battle. 

Plus, Kuroiro didn’t really think of it at the time as Dark Shadow going berserk. He just thought the sentient Quirk was capable of attacking without Tokoyami’s orders. 

That’s why I’ll probably leave Dark Knights as it is, but I’m willing to make changes if y’all think I should ^^

FHey all! I’m sorry I’ve not been around much. I had some self care that I had to do for my mental health. I’m feeling a lot better and just an update: I’ve been working hard with updating Ties that Bind and God’s Blight. Don’t worry! I haven’t forgotten about them! Afterwards I’ll see how I feel, but as it’s getting at the end of the year, my goal is to get those completed ASAP. I might see about doing a trade in December, just depends on how my life is going. I will also be making a few videos on Youtube going over some methods I used when writing Captive Heart, as well as giving my own takes on whatever interests me. I will update later when it goes up <3
