THIS is the life cycle of a jellyfish [animal kingdom]. Our boy starts as one guy, has a plant phase, and flakes off as a bunch of guys.
The humble sea sponge [animal kingdom], which is not asexual! That’s right, these bad boys have biological sex characteristics and have sponge sex.
They just pick a spot to sit and grow. They passively filter food from their environment.
AND THIS IS THE THING THAT IS NEITHER A PLANT NOR AN ANIMAL. Not even a plant that’s kind of an animal!! It just Is Not!!! How did this happen who did this. I’m not complaining about mushrooms I just think plant thats kind of an animal, not bcs I know better, because trapped by the limits of my mind. This is one of the limits. Fungus.
I wanted to see if Jellyfish reproduce asexually, and I almost google “Jellyfish sex.” but I said to myself, perhaps not. Perhaps that is not what we are asking the internet for. I found no reference to sperm in my 30 second scan.
