Yeah that is the thing about mr todd, he is very careful and protective of his heart because he’s been burned before, and once he loves someone it never really goes away, hence why he doesn’t give up on either reader. I think Jason will always love Bruce a little and that’s why their interactions are so painful and will never not be painful.
Jason is such an interesting character to me bc he feels so much all the time no stop no space to breathe or die. How can a person be forced to know what death feels like forever without going insane?
So I think it’s reasonable that he’s desperate for someone to prove that he’s worth committing to, maybe even worth doing terrible things for<3 a person who lets him put all those feelings somewhere. poison ivy!reader would probably do terrible things for him tbqh, but Jason’s also conscious of the fact that he doesn’t want to turn people into someone they’re not (doesn’t want what happened to him to happen to someone he loves)
