Brand: Cocokind

Results: I used this in combination with their vitamin C serum. The two of them really helped with my winter dryness, although it wasn’t an immediate change. That happened more over time. It was really subtle and at first I didn’t think it was doing anything. I feel like hyaluronic acid is a lot better at attracting surface level moisture, which is maybe why you notice results faster. This seemed to work beneath the surface and actually helped repair my dry skin.
This is something I’d actually repurchase. They’ve recently released a jumbo size, so it might be worth it to pick up one of those for a more extended test. I’d like to see what this does on a more longterm basis.
The one thing I will say is that I think the droppers they use might be a little janky. The one in this bottle hardly picked up any product, only ever filling about halfway, while the one in the vitamin C serum could fill all the way. Granted, you don’t need that much product to cover your face. This is just something I noticed during my use.
Comps: IUNIK, a K-beauty brand, has a Beta Glucan Power Moisture Serum ($19.99/1.69 fl oz) that seems really promising. Typology D31 9-Ingredient Soothing Serum ($44.50/oz) also uses beta glucan as its primary active.
Unfortunately, I can’t find a lot of other beta glucan serums. Ceramides are more widely found and used, so it should be easy to find a generic ceramide serum, if that’s your thing.

Brand: Beekman 1802
Product Type: Serum
Price: $47 USD
Size: 0.95 fl oz
✔️Clean Ingredients ✔️Cruelty Free ✔️Sustainable Packaging
Star Ingredients:

No added fragrance.
Results: I actually had no idea this contained AHAs and BHAs in it. They are truly so gentle that even I can use this serum without increased redness or photosensitivity.
I think this is a good all-rounder type of serum. A couple of drops and my skin feels a little more plump and hydrated.
My only gripe is, again, the cost. It’s $47 and you don’t even get a full fluid ounce. What is that nonsense? The bottle design is quite deceptive. They’re glass and quite chunky, but the internal reservoir is much smaller than the bottle itself.
Oh, and this does contain goat milk, so don’t use it if you’ve got an allergy.
Comps: I like Cocokind’s Ceramide Barrier Serum ($21.99/oz). It doesn’t have the natural exfoliants in it that this formula does, so if you’ve got more sensitive skin, I’d definitely recommend it. Byoma Hydrating Serum uses a tri-ceramide complex, squalane, and glycerin ($16.99/oz). The INKEY List Ceramide Serum is also going to deliver barrier-soothing hydration without fuss ($15/oz).
Earth Harbor Horizon Ceramide Recovery Serum contains botanical extracts like this one from Beekman 1802, if you like having added benefits ($24.99/0.67fl oz). Anua Rice 7 + Ceramide Hydrating Barrier Serum is going to be similar in that is has a lot of potent extra ingredients to help brighten skin ($22/1.69 oz).

Results: This is a funky serum. It’s costly price per ounce too. Their claim is that it’s so concentrated, you don’t need to use much. The recommended use is to add 1-2 drops to a pump of Bloom Cream, although you can use it by itself. It is a gel formulation, so it leaves your skin feeling kind of tight automatically.
I will say that I think it’s helpful in decreasing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time. My big forehead wrinkle is less noticeable.
The peptides made me a little more photosensitive, particularly when combined with the naturally-occurring lactic acid in the goat’s milk from the Bloom Cream, so make sure you use SPF in the daytime when you’re using peptides.
I probably won’t repurchase this, even though I did like the CoQ10 in it. That’s a nice antioxidant and not a lot of brands are using it. It’s just too expensive for what you actually get.
Comps: Peptide serums are pretty common these days, so you’re spoiled for choice. Ingredient-wise, Good Molecules Super Peptide Serum ($12/oz) is a pretty good match. I had a hard time finding brands I know to be reputable who are also using electric daisy as an active.
The INKEY List makes a Q10 Serum ($10.50/oz) that should work very similarly. In addition to having the antioxidant CoQ10, it also contains peptides to firm and squalane for hydration.
“I’ve been so impressed with this serum in the short time I’ve been using it. It’s runnier than I expected – but then I’m used to using prescription-strength azelaic acid – and it absorbs so quickly. It leaves my skin smooth and doesn’t pill when I put sunscreen and makeup on top of it. It’s not cheap but stay consistent and the results will be good,” says Lucy Partington, Glamour…

“I’m a sucker for a formula that targets multiple concerns at once. Apart from its incredibly adorable packaging (signature to the Glow Recipe aesthetic), I was immediately drawn to its clever formulation that combines a trio of brightening and resurfacing ingredients. My skin felt instantly rejuvenated, and I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t result in any inflammation or unwanted…

Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN), for those unfamiliar, is derived from salmon DNA and is known to help with tissue regeneration for a firmer, smoother complexion. Although this topical version doesn’t deliver the same intensely rejuvenating, literally skin-deep benefits as the injectable, the Rejuran Turnover Ampoule is a great, more affordable option for those who are…

Hair growth serum FAQs:
Which is the best hair growth serum?
According to Philipp Haug, celebrity hairstylist and co-founder of Haug London Haus: “There’s no one-size-fits-all, but the best serums are backed by research and focus on scalp health, not just surface shine. At CENTRED, we believe true hair growth begins with a healthy scalp, which is why we created En-Root Scalp Oil as a…
I firmly believe that Navarre leadership created the signet and dragon bond cutting serum specifically because they were terrified of how well the marked ones were doing in the quadrant. Like they weren’t going to use those on the gryphon fliers. The people with dragons that were in their own country and they new they fucked up with that conscription law.
