It is a hand-tinted postcard of five raccoons lined up and staring at the viewer. They appear to be standing on a bench like structure that wraps around a tree planted in the middle. The raccoons and the top of the bench are tented yellow except for the raccoons’ faces. The bottom of the bench and the trees are tinted a brownish orange. The top of the card reads “RACCOONS at the Zoo, Clinch Park. Traverse City, Mich. —25,” while the bottom of the card reads, “ TRAVERSE CITY’S QUINTUPLETS”ALT

“Dear Gloria,

We are at Traverse City. This is the second park we’ve been to. July 2nd we went to the Zoo. It was lots of fun.

Your friend,

Susan L.”

Addressed to Gloria Hale, July 5, 1957
