thekla putting her hand near her bruise to show it off like………. i shan’t say
Michael B Jordan just thanked me! (Well, everyone who went to see Sinners. Still.)
I am going to start playing Thousand Year Old Vampire soon, perhaps this week, depending on how I’m feeling.
I will for sure set up a pinned post before I start with all my tag information for my blog, because I don’t currently have one and my tags are a mess that needs to be cleaned up.
i love how aew commentators are always saying “that’s a great call” as a way to say “you just said something that is true”
(From this ask HERE)
Thank you for the ask, Shreedle!!!
10. Dream pet?
Nothing! I am not a pet person at all. I have no desire to own a pet. I like living vicariously through all my friends who own pets!
16. Favourite type of chocolate?
I love all dark chocolate, but a good dark chocolate with salted caramel is the love of my life.
23. A hobby you tried but didn’t stick with?
Honestly, I don’t think I have one of these. I think this is a sign I should try some more hobbies out.

Our power was out for about three hours total, last night, so I don’t have to replace anything in the fridge this time. Whew.
My (adult!) daughter is still yelling at the Oscars, except with many more F-bombs than at the start of the show.
Going to sneak a shower in while she’s otherwise engaged….
Look for the helpers, and believe women.
I really wish using the freaking hashtags to search through posts on sites actually worked as a filter system AHHHHHHHHHHH
New Moon in Pisces: Endings Blend with New Beginnings
— { New Moons are moments of renewal, a time to plant seeds for the future, clarify our intentions, and make sure we move toward a meaningful direction. A time of the month where the Moon is still invisible from our perspective: darkness invites us to go inward, to the quiet, fertile space where seeds begin to come to life.
★ This month, the Sun and the Moon meet in the late degrees of Pisces, toward the very end of the Zodiac wheel (Last house in Astrological Year; 12th House ♓️) Pisces is the alpha and the omega, the place where everything ends and begins, where we all come from and where we are all going.
★ Represents; the unseen, mystical dimension of life, a place where boundaries do not exist, where we surrender our personal will and ego to forces much greater than us.
★ A chapter of our journey is coming to completion and, simultaneously, a new journey is the start of the beginning. As the Sun and the Moon meet in Pisces, they remind us that time is not linear, that endings are often blended with new beginnings, and that seeds need darkness in order to grow.
[[MORE]]My mom sewed some cats and I decided to make a denim jacket with them. I’m using old jeans for this. Now I’m almost done with this patchwork denim cat jacket and my classmates are like: it’s cute, but I would never wear that.
Good. It’s not for boring people.
MY COOKIES PUT ME IN A HAPPY PLACE!
I wish I had bigger bags of Sun Chips: Harvest Cheddar.
So, I was wondering what I liked so much about Bridgerton season 4 compared to the previous seasons, especially when I didn’t like the book it’s based on at all. But today, I saw a post complaining that they didn’t understand how Benedict could have slept around for three seasons and then fallen in love with a maid of all people, who wasn’t even uniquely and spectacularly gorgeous, and it hit me.
What really set season 4 apart is that Sophie was yes, pretty and intelligent and well-spoken, but also, she wasn’t … special. She wasn’t the glamorously beautiful and wealthy diamond of the season (regardless of what the queen casually suggested at the end), she wasn’t Lady Whistledown with the power in her quill to make or break people’s reputations, she wasn’t headstrong and outspoken and picking sexually charged public fights as a means of flirting (which for the record, I also LOVE).
And yet, Sophie pushed back however she could against abuse; she never lost sight of herself. She never abandoned her silent eye rolls every time she encountered something stupid, she squared her shoulders and made the choice to to go to the masquerade ball, willing to accept the consequences of her actions; she was brave and resilient and obstinate, and that’s why Benedict fell in love with her.
Plus, I’ve always loved romances where a man chooses to become a better person to be worthy of his love interest. Benedict was never a bad guy; he was always a good brother, a loving son, and clearly capable of being smart and responsible and show up exactly when he said he’d show up and be present the entire time. But, by the beginning of season 4, after his younger and older brothers, his best friends, got married and had children, he clearly was lost, with nothing to live for really, and his whole existence devolved into hedonism to forget about his lack of purpose and identity.
But then Benedict met Sophie, and she gave him a reason to get up every day and do more than just exist, milling about and just passing the time in a haze of alcohol and sex and pushing away everybody who loves him. And. in the process of proving himself and his love to Sophie, he also became a better son and better brother and a better friend. He made himself worthy not only of her love and devotion but of life itself, and that story is beautiful, no matter how many times I hear it.
