thinking a lot about digital minimalism and the impossibility of privacy on [internet, cellular lines, etc]. it’s something i’m semi-resigned to. it’s frustrating and evil, but it’s much too big and complicated for my ass to entirely evade. if i let myself get worried about digital/data privacy, i’m gonna to become exceedingly paranoid.
i’ve also been thinking, as usual, about the ethics/concept/intents behind “self-archiving”, or otherwise displaying/cataloguing yourself online. i want this intent to be deeply challenged, not just the immediate answer i expect to hear from diy alt people still on meta: community. see others. how often do we meaningfully interact, though? how often are we seeing?
i’d like to make a zine about that…. one where other people share, though. i want it to be an ongoing conversation about social media and its usage! i think i should pursue this, but i’ll need to think about it more. get clarity of concept.
