Well dear anon, maybe you’ve seen that some have concluded that Yoichi will change Kimizuki’s opinion and ultimately the Shinoa squad will be good to go.
While the scenario itself is pretty much 90% of taking place… I believe that maybe it’ll be a bit more conflictive than what it looks like. Perhaps just like with Yoichi, Kimizuki will have a hidden ability.
If I’m being honest, I’d like to see more drama or rather, a real clash of ideals instead of easy resolution.
But then again, let’s not forget that Rigr and Yuu are around. It goes or falls in the next escenarios:
-Follow up with Kimizuki
-Follow up with Rigr
-Follow up with the renmants of Guren’s squad

Ohhh, I understand that. With that I agree dear anon. While the chapter itself did give a shock and even hyped part of the fandom. I must agree with you.
We know so far that the squad itself belongs to the main cast, that of course doesn’t mean the whole squad are main characters but their links are tied to them.
It was mentioned since the Catastrophe LNs and Manga that Yoichi, Shiho, Mirai, Tomoe, Yuu, Mika, Akane and more characters that were in the Hyakuya sect; were all test subjects for a reason.
However, it does feel kind of, weak in the sense of the surprise factor and the abilities alone.
It’s well known that the story has issues with pacing, character development in some areas & the sort. It’s far from perfect, so I can understand your comment anon. But well, it can be said that the author right now is trying to come full circle with the remaining characters before the final battles take place.
