eddie reaching for jamie at the end of episode one is the epitome of too little too late he only realized what went wrong after it manifested itself and it’s TERRIFYING
adolescence evokes a visceral fear in me because 1. jamie reminds me of so many boys i know 2. the “mistakes” eddie made or what he didn’t do are things that aren’t devastatingly obvious like their dynamic seemed normal, healthy even, because eddie wasn’t physically abusive or anything of the conventionally explanatory sort.
but also his crying at the end when he realized what really happened and how he played a role in it destroyed me
