Today I’m checking out how it feels to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) in 2026! This is one of the few modern Cod games that I still enjoy going back playing once in a while. Let’s find out if it’s still fun to play also now six plus years later after release!

here is what Total Warhammer should actually be.

It’s old idea I’ve had for a while but maybe i am gonna go on a little rant, get it out of my system and go back to drawing practice already. Because my adhd just really wants to talk about it Mike.

I am big total war fan since I was child. Something makes it really fun for me to play strategy games, perhaps it’s simply because I am boring person who has no personality. maybe i like finding solutions to puzzles and hate the stagnation. perhaps, i should learn to enjoy life without conflict as well. But I am used to. I am used to being useful and making most optimal solutions to problems. Solving problems gives me weird ecstasy that I learnt. Whenever I consume something it makes me feel shameful, whenever I do something for someone it makes me feel useful. Overall, in the end I am learning to change and become a person who is not used or exploited so easily. But my love for this strategy game remained as a small reminder of my hyperfixations.

I played Total War Warhammer 2 for very long time and I would put so many mods together and try to finish the game. It’s old gimmick I used to do with other games. I love putting mods and content and observe, see differences, see empires fall, its ecstatic to be part of history sure however, watching history change has its own intellectual pleasure. I consider this to be a bad habit. In real history a lot of people died for worthless titles and symbols that have no meaning. My inability to notice this is something I want to mock and i hate myself. I hate a part of me, that I don’t understand. A part of me that I want to accuse or shame. Whatever that part is that excitement I feel when I observe conflict where neither side is winning and both try to grab a hold of victory. I am creeping myself out when I think about it, what I like is the intellectual mystery that for a little, makes my boredom vanish. When you predict things one after another the “unknown” factor makes you feel good. It is like how Junko Enoshima talks in Danganronpa, “despair is great unknown”, well simialrily not knowing the conclusion or making it so you can’t predict it gives certain ecstasy in a situation that will surprise your expectations. After you solve all puzzles, beat every mystery game, what is left? Nothing. Your brain rots. I made a machine that cannot be used. And that irritates me. That’s why I hated myself and the way I think. I hate being a tool and I hate thinking that things are that shallow that you need intellectual stimulation and pragmatic supremacy of tactics. In other words, I want to appreciate things in life that are meaningless as well. I want to not be locked in. I want to rest for once. And I don’t have anything to fight it with but with a certain rejection and deep thought over this injury that I suffered.

About the total war games, warhammer 2 was fun, i’d make a campaign not try to conquer it as snowballing is real and its unbelievably boring and instead just observe how one nation after another fought. But ai is unbelievably idiotic and so it didnt manage to do much of anything interesting, even with end times mods it ended up just breaking and though 200 stacks of Archaeon Everchosen looked horrifying they broke and didnt move beyond Middenheim.

There is something enjoyable about a map timelapse, a city changing owner, two kingdoms straggling to get a hold and coming up with tactics to fuck one over. It’s different from chess in style, roleplay and slightly non-competitive nature of the fight. In chess, once you learn the right way there is nothing left. In a jigsaw puzzle, you solve it. But in strategy game with ambiguous tactics, there is variety and freshness in it. Especially ,if there is diplomacy and real people involved.

Do you know what the worst part about Total War Warhammer is? It is the time. You start off as faction, have few threats, take care of them and start snowballing the map. Whether its 2 player coop or singleplayer, it was a major issue. The game became boring very quickly. By turn 60 it was slowly losing substance. Victory conditions feel like something you will never reach because you’ll get so bored before winning the game.

Even with 8 player games, it is abstract. What is the goal? Or more specifically, how long is it gonna last? Victory conditions may vary but overall the immortal empires campaign map is insanely huge with a lot of factions but very little substance to justify its quantity.

You will very quickly get bored because the amount of stuff isn’t parallel to excitement. The game is exciting in beginning turns and boring as you go forward. More and more boring. Because everything is too abstract.

I offer you a crazy mix of europa universalis, victoria 2 and total war warhammer, I call it World Warhammer 3: it is an idea i’ve been thinking of that takes geopolitical countries of different era that felt rivalrish and assigns them warhammer factions and units.

It allows the players to immediately be at conflict for land while also feeling like roleplaying their respective nation and the land they are owed. It’s just clever idea nothing more. IT is not really possible since it requires to modify not only a new map with the campaign but also have 8 people or more together.

But, if it was possible to do it the experience for players would be way more fun and less stagnant.

Here is a new updated map I designed on a whim recently. It doesn’t ressemble any specific historical era, instead it simply unites some rivalry national borders and cool countries who historically existed as empires. This is not competitive idea for a game, no it is simply a roleplay idea with the game in it. Think about it like a party game, you don’t care about winning it, it is simply an experience you share together.

There might be a tv playing on background or you might be eating doritos, but the idea ressembles those eu4 poland events where they had a LAN party game in one building, the idea is similar as well.

I was thinking on multiple things but right now I came up with just this idea. You have all those nations, players play them on this custom map with custom modificated changes. It is technically not REALLY possible as of with current warhammer modding community and tools available. However, it is a hypothetical scenario only. and it would definitely make the game more enjoyable

On this map you have two special nations: Hungary and Portugal. Every other nation is a literal unit roster: it takes the default legendary lord’s faction like Reikland or Naggarond, and gives you all unit roster with all the rules for the main faction of how to play it. You can hire any legendary lord or hero you normally would be able to + special lords from special factions, however
Hungary is Ikit Claw, Clan Skyre and Portugal is Lyonesse, both of these only have units and the mechanics from their respective factions and the main guys Skaven/Bretonnia do not have their unique lords.
That means on this map Clan Skyre can make the nukes, yes.

The other rule is country division: great powers, mid nation and weak nations. These are for balance sake, but of course it is roleplay and not perfect division of power. Smaller nations play a different role.

Great powers are : Spain, France, England, Celtic Union, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Rome, Carthage, Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Poland, Ruthenia, Russia, Golden Horde, Babylon, Persia.

Mid Power: Hungary. Mid nations cannot be declared war til after turn 25.

Weak Power: Portugal, Denmark, Baltic State, Serbia, Wallachia and the Netherlands. Weak countries cannot be attacked (declared war on) until specific conditions are met, like 1. after turn 50, 2. 3 nations have to be have been purged and 3. the chance to trigger event is 33% every turn. If event is triggered, anyone can attack them and go all out.

However, small nations are capable of declaring war themselves. If someone makes them, that is.

This map takes diplomacy in accord and yeah, smaller countries are kind of like wildcards that can be usable.

There is an angle of wanting to ally with Tzeetch, Chaos Warriors and Skaven that offer superb units to your own in battle. While also, Wallachia and Serbia are major allies to invade Turkey so the diplomacy is able to be done in so many ways.

The big difference between this and normal total war warhammer is that the normal game is a map that is filled with so much quantity that it just becomes noise. This map however, is geopolititical absoltue madness where players can create drama and cause all of kind of mess with the abilities that you can do in normal total war campaign.

This is simply idea I was working on. Now that I got it out of my system I am gonna shut up and never touch it. However, it’d be cool if it ever happened in the future. If I was a part, i’d probably play as tzeetch. IN any way, it is fun to think about. I don’t want to continue too much though I also designed the starter armies as well but since it’s currently impossible to modify total war warhammer to do it for now it will remain a mysterious what-if of a online game design

Total War Warhammer offers a lot of cool stuff and I feel this idea can be explored as there are many strategies and anything that suits anyone’s personal boat to play with.

Ever feel that restless itch to just… sail away? To drop the to-do lists, forget the inbox, and answer the call of a horizon you’ve never seen? 🧭 If you’ve ever dreamed of a life less ordinary, where your biggest worry is a kraken and your fortune is buried on a forgotten island, then let’s talk about Sea of Thieves.

This isn’t just another game; it’s a live-service pirate fantasy that’s grown into something truly special. It throws you into a stunning, shared world where the story is whatever you and your crew make it.

More Than Just A Shiny Treasure Chest

Forget rigid tutorials. Here, you’re handed a ship and the sea. The magic isn’t in a prescribed path, but in the emergent, player-driven stories that unfold.

The Real Treasure is Your Crew

  • Chaotic Cooperation: Whether you’re harmonizing (badly) on the hurdy-gurdy or frantically bailing water during a storm, everything is better—and funnier—with friends.
  • Unpredictable Encounters: That ship on the horizon could be friendly traders… or a crew of seasoned reapers looking for a fight. The multiplayer element is the ultimate spice.

A Living, Breathing World

Rare has nurtured this game for years, transforming it from a beautiful shell into a packed epic adventure. From battling megalodons to solving tall tales, the gameplay loop of voyage, peril, and payoff is endlessly engaging.

It’s a unique blend of chill exploration and heart-pounding battle royale-style naval clashes. One minute you’re fishing, the next you’re defending your hard-won loot from a galleon full of rivals. ⚔️

In a crowded gaming industry, Sea of Thieves stands apart

PARKER NOOOOOO 💔💔💔💔 ouuuu soy would definitely be having a Tough Time and they’d definitely be more closed off but they’d still retain their energetic self from time to time!! they disassociate a lot more and it’s much more evident whenever they’re zoned out, but they’d try their best to not let it affect parker. it’s the last thing they’d want to do. soy’s definitely up for cuddling / any form of reassurance. soy’s probably the best person for it, they’re really good at comfort, having worked in foster care and all. soy’d welcome parker to cling onto them as they make soup for them. 🫶

NO ONE is having a fun time in chapter 5 though i bet 😭😭🤚🤚 thanks ghostwalker. thanks hatred! (i say through gritted teeth)

the only real way to win in the Rust Belt?

game gets region locked? try it for $0

With over 14 million copies sold, ARC Raiders is officially a massive hit. But the real challenge isn’t just surviving the machines—it’s surviving the servers. Between the desync issues and regional rollout differences, your location matters more than your loadout.

Which one is the true “Raider Experience”?

Hitting every drone shot (low ping life)

The “phantom” machine that kills you from 10m away

Playing solo because my region is a ghost town

Waiting for my local servers to actually work

I just want to play with my overseas squad

See Results

multiplayer gaming used to be about hanging out, not a second job. 🎮

everything is “ranked” now and it’s exhausting. sometimes you just want to mess around with the squad without getting cooked by a 12-year-old on 0 ping.

if lag is ruining your chill sessions, try the fix for $0

what’s the best “no thoughts, just vibes” multiplayer game right now?

Deep Rock Galactic (rock and stone forever)

Lethal Company (the company loves you)

Sea of Thieves (pirate shenanigans only)

I just play single player (peaceful energy)

See Results

the “sweaty” era of gaming has made it so hard to find games that are actually just fun. everyone is so worried about the meta that we forgot how to just mess around.

honestly, as long as the connection doesn’t drop mid-heist, any game is a win.
