Had a nice lunch with Abel. Today was also the first day I took stick out. We managed not to lose it. So goal 1 complete. We are using left hand just so Right hand can do stuff. Using it “wrong.” Swinging it with left foot instead of right. Did not put it in stool mode during this outing. We will need to make a dangle bracelet for it. It is too wide to use a normal cane cord (I do not know the name of that).
Seems useful. Will prob try this first. Then we can hang it off a table as well as hooking over wrist. We used the 3 point foot. Not really digging it. Tripped a little over it. Feels like it takes up so much space - BUT cant stand the cane up like a 4/huricane foot. Will continue to gather data.
If/when we add stickers may be a challenge. The whole cane is split in thirds to make the tripod. So images will need to be small or cut. Also, sliding the cuff up to change into stool mode could scrape up the stickers too. Or rip them up and get stuck inside the cuff.
We are also trying to get back into purse. We found that laying the strap part way over the handle puts some of the weight on the stick. It frees up right hand to do things. (Purple yarn is a temp wrist strap thing.)
We will prob make a “clip on” foam handle. Then you arent grabbing hard plastic. Maybe that is what can become the cushion for sitting? Def need to spiral that a bit.
