Wedding Mints

3 Tablespoons butter or margarine

4 ½ Cups sifted powdered sugar (about 1 pound)

¼ Cup evaporated milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

¼ teaspoon salt

Peppermint flavouring

Optional: food colouring

Melt butter in a pot over medium heat. Stir in milk, vanilla, salt, a few drops of peppermint flavouring, and food colouring. Cook until it boils. Remove from heat and pour into a heat safe mixing bowl. Let cool a bit. Add powdered sugar and knead the mixture with your hands until it’s smooth. Roll teaspoonfulls into balls and place on wax paper. Press balls with a fork and let dry for 24 hours. Flip mints over and let dry for another 24 hours.

there needs to be banana flavored mints. or grape. maybe chocolate and vanilla. the different mint flavors and cinnamon are just kinda plain I feel. Only if the mints are like altoids and not tic tacs.
