Azerbaycan’dan Türkiye’ye gelmek üzere havalanan Türk Hava Kuvvetleri’ne ait C-130 tipi askeri kargo uçağı, Gürcistan hava sahasında düştü. Milli Savunma Bakanlığı (MSB), uçakta 20 personelin bulunduğunu ve arama kurtarma çalışmalarının Gürcistan makamlarıyla koordineli şekilde sürdüğünü açıkladı.

MSB’den yapılan yazılı açıklamada şu ifadelere yer verildi:

“Azerbaycan'dan ülkemize gelmek üzere havalanan bir C130 kargo uçağımız Gürcistan'da düşmüştür. Arama kurtarma çalışmalarına Gürcistan makamları ile koordineli olarak başlanmıştır. Düşen uçağımızda uçuş ekibi ile birlikte 20 personelimiz bulunuyordu. Arama kurtarma çalışmaları devam etmektedir. Kamuoyuna saygıyla duyurulur.”

Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, AK Parti Kongre Merkezi’nde düzenlenen Şehircilik Zirvesi sırasında kazaya ilişkin açıklamada bulundu. Erdoğan, “Bugün Azerbaycan'dan ülkemize gelmekte olan C-130 tipi askeri uçağımızın Gürcistan-Azerbaycan sınırında düştüğü bilgisini derin bir üzüntüyle öğrendik. Enkaza ulaşma çalışmaları ülke makamlarıyla koordineli biçimde devam ediyor. Rabbim şehitlerimize rahmet eylesin” ifadelerini kullandı.

Cumhurbaşkanlığı İletişim Başkanı Burhanettin Duran, kamuoyunun doğru bilgilendirilmesi için yalnızca resmî kurumların açıklamalarının dikkate alınması gerektiğini vurguladı.

“Kamuoyunun doğru bilgilendirilmesi adına, sadece resmi kurumlarımızın açıklamalarının dikkate alınması ve teyit edilmemiş bilgilerin paylaşılmaması önem arz etmektedir.”

Azerbaycan Cumhurbaşkanı İlham Aliyev, Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan’ı telefonla arayarak taziye dileklerini iletti. Aliyev, “Bu ağır zamanda kederinizi paylaşıyor, kardeş Türkiye halkına ve hayatını kaybedenlerin ailelerine Azerbaycan halkı adına en derin taziyelerimi iletiyorum” dedi.

Gürcistan İçişleri Bakanlığı’ndan yapılan açıklamada, Türk Hava Kuvvetleri’ne ait askeri nakliye uçağının Signagi bölgesinde, Azerbaycan sınırına yaklaşık 5 kilometre mesafede düştüğü belirtildi. Gürcistan Hava Navigasyonu İdaresi, uçağın Gürcistan hava sahasına girdikten birkaç dakika sonra radar bağlantısının kesildiğini, herhangi bir acil durum sinyali gönderilmediğini bildirdi.

Imagine Casper would visit the museum to get away from his uncles!!!

First of all, THANK YOU for your patience!! This is one of those great writer conundrums where even though Keesha might be an excellent gift giver, I myself am only so-so. 🙈 So bear with me! Not all of these I would necessarily consider ~the best~ gifts for each recipient but at least solid examples.

As much as she probably loves to spoil Phoebe, she also knows gifts that also do good for the wider world are best appreciated, so she keeps an eye out for things made from renewable materials or that donate profits to charity. That said, I can very clearly see a scenario where a zoo in a faraway state welcomes a baby of an endangered species they’ve been trying to breed, so Keesha arranges a girls’ trip for just the two of them to go see it once it’s old enough to be viewed by the public.

Instead of the stereotypical sketchbook for Tim (which he still loves and appreciates from his other friends because they WILL get used!), Keesha instead tries to focus on actual books that have cool/unique art styles she knows he will appreciate. Mainly graphic novels and children’s books. Maybe there was a particular variant cover of a comic book she knew he would love and had to rope in Ralphie to help her track it down because it was on the rarer side.

I get the feeling that Keesha would be at least somewhat into dance in her youth (the oversized sweater and tights from the show just give me that vibe), so when she finds out Wanda has a weakness for The Nutcracker, she holds onto that for a LONG TIME. Over the years, she tries multiple times to get her to broaden her horizons and see other dance shows and eventually scores them both tickets to a touring production of The Firebird. Wanda has to concede that even without Christmas nostalgia, it’s a pretty good show.

I don’t know where my headcanon of Arnold being into old/classic movies came from, but it just makes SENSE to me, y'know? So I imagine Keesha would gift him one of those DVD collections where all the movies feature the same actor - reverse engineered from a movie she already knew he liked, not necessarily the specific actor, so Arnold get some stuff he hasn’t already seen.

For Dorothy Ann, I think Keesha at one point gets her one of those gift sets with a few different types of specialty pens and accidently gets her HOOKED on fountain pens. DA quickly amasses a collection and before you know it, it’s all she writes with and she always has one in her bag.

Carlos is a bit tough because I feel like he’d be happy with any kind of gift as long as it came from a friend? He’s sentimental like that. So one year I think Keesha gets him an instant camera (along with an absurd amount of refill film rolls) so he can capture all the memories and sentiments he wants. As expected, he becomes a LITTLE obnoxious with the thing, bringing it to every social gathering and always begging people for pictures, but in a sweet way.

And last but not least, for Ralphie. Rather than a specific birthday or holiday present, imagine, if you will, many years beyond canon, Keesha leaving an unmarked box somewhere in the house he’s sure to naturally come across. And when he opens it - because he’s too curious and can’t help himself - he will find a piece of fabric laced with string that could approximate a cape, embroidered on one side with a crest, the letters “WB” inside…for Weather Baby. (Listen, y'all can pull the Weatherman/Weatherwoman dynamic from my COLD DEAD HANDS, IT’S SO CUTE.) He then tears through the house to find his wife and they cry and smooch and celebrate together. This becomes her little tradition to announce each of their children.

I got possessed by a creative spark to design the Magic School Bus kids as adults. As usual, I intended this to just be a simple sketch, but I got a little carried away. I hope all the characters are recognizable. If not, they are (from left to right): Tim, Phoebe, Ralphie, Keesha, Dorothy-Ann, Carlos, Wanda, and Arnold. This was one of my favorite shows growing up, and I think a lot of people can agree it was a real quality kids’ show. I hope I captured all their personalities well.

Fun fact: I can somehow connect everything to Casper the friendly ghost!!! Test me 🗣🗣🗣🗣

General opinion: THAT’S MY SON RIGHT THERE I LOVE HIM!! THAT’S ALSO TWIN!! I FEEL BAD FOR NEGLECTING HIM TBH :(

Today I drew Arnold Perlstein. First time drawing him somewhat in full and this was great through I kind of crammed his shirt to get into the art. I think drawing MSB human characters is good for my practice on drawing humans because this is one of my best human drawings.
