This month we’re celebrating the Aegean Cat!
The Aegean is a naturally occurring breed of cat indigenous to the Cycladic Islands in the Aegean Sea. Found along the coast of modern day Greece and Turkey, these ancient street cats roam feral greeting locals and tourists alike. They pay close attention to fishing ports and markets, but are just as happy as housecats. It is the only breed native to Greece and is considered a national treasure in that country.
