Spiritually hungry

When you don’t eat you become weak, so as a Christian, a reason why you might be down, depressed, or weak is because you’re starving spiritually. Your outer man is strong while your man is not. Consist time spent with God helps you face anything that comes your way.

As a Godly chrsitian wife, we are looked upon to others as weak, boring, and unfit to the rest of the world. Why is that? Being transformed from a not so godly women to a godly wife takes a lot more than what I myself can do. See I didn’t choose to hunger for God’s word, I didn’t choose for God to lead me from the wrong road to the right road. I didn’t choose to hunger for righteousness nor was it ever in my mindset before. God transformed my broken, lost, confused body into a women who hungers, truly hungers for Gods word, and righteousness day in and day out. A women who had no care for the world, or the people or even God into a women who continuously opens her heart to God daily, its a never ending feeling of pure righteousness. That not any of us can do ourselves it takes God Himself to completely change how our minds think, how we act, how we love. It amazes me what God can do but still we are looked upon as nothing, we are dumb to society for our hunger for God because our souls simply don’t match. Satan makes a lot of noise in this world and only God can mute that noise. My husband and I have this hunger nothing else in this world can fill. It took us going through what we never thought would happen to us for us to meet and marry simply because God had it in His mind to do so. Its amazing, just some thought for today on how truly blessed we are .

Yeap… Summer is over, October is here!

Time really flies huh? I really will miss this inner peace I have here, something that I don’t get in Singapore. Though yes, assignments are not easy and all are starting to pile up, but yknow, if I could I just want to stay here, even better if I am in a single room. 

Cell was… okay today. Maybe the message wasn’t really applicable. But I guess in some ways I got some things here and there. I got reminded of one of the sermons I attended at Trinity. And it’s weird how Debi was talking about hunger for God. And how the topic of cell brings me to this sermon that had that very same question, am I hungry for God, have I lost my hunger for God? 

And I actually answered this question yesterday. One’s character is defined by One’s Words and Actions. I need to have this constant desire and desperation to seek the face of Jesus, to hunger and thirst for His power, to encounter Him in a powerful way. A transformed heart is needed for behavioral changes. My next miracle is determined by the extent of my hunger for God. The miracle is already there in place, I just have to open my eyes, look up and see.

Who has had enough with the presence of God?

In the past, I used to wonder that if our relationship with God can be measure in levels 1 through 10, where 10 is the highest, what happens when you reach 10?

One answer changed my perspective in life— you may reach 10, but it’s a 10 without ceiling.

We can never say that we cannot know more than what we’ve known in the past, we cannot experience more than what we’ve experienced in the past, or we cannot encounter God more than we have encountered Him in the past–that’s a lie because it is a 10 without ceiling.

Eli was a priest, and the glory of God reside in the temple where he is, but he did not have hunger. He knew that the word of the Lord was rare and visions were even rarer during those times. But when Samuel, a little boy, ran to Eli and he realized it was God who spoke to the boy, he lets Samuel take the good stuff, he did not have enough hunger to run before God and cry, “Lord, me too.” There is not enough zeal for the presence of God to touch him. He was dead even while alive. Eli was satisfied to be cast out.

David, the man after God’s own heart, got the hunger. He messed up big time but he still chose to run after God and said, “Lord, cast me not away from thy Presence”.

This is the good news. Our relationship with God does not hit a boundary. Our knowledge of God does not have a quota. It’s a 10 without ceiling.
