Accusations of Misconduct The suspension order accuses the then Director General of Police (Intelligence Bureau) Sitarama Anjaneyulu, Vijayawada Police Commissioner Kanti Rana Tata, and Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishal Gunni of acting prematurely. The officers are said to have made arrests and proceeded with the case without proper verification.
Details of the Investigation According to the investigation report, Sitarama Anjaneyulu instructed officers to arrest Kadambari Jeswani on January 31, 2024, through verbal orders. Following this, Kanti Rana arranged flights for the team and issued arrest orders without formal case proceedings. Vishal Gunni, who led the team to Mumbai, is accused of acting on incomplete information.

Charges and Government Action The three officers face suspension for breaching the All India Services (AIS) Discipline and Appellate Rules, 1969, and for misusing their authority. The action is based on an inquiry report from the NTR Police Commissionerate.
Restrictions and Awaited Posting The suspended officers have been instructed to remain in their headquarters in Vijayawada due to concerns about potential interference with witnesses and evidence in Mumbai. They are currently awaiting their next posting.
