Honestly I do find alternate Kurt pairings slightly indefinable until I read/see/write them and then I’m like YES THAT’S IT – I feel this way about Sam/Kurt, Sebastian/Kurt, Elliott/Kurt, and Mike/Kurt (my dark horse pairing hee) but I’ll try to articulate a little bit!
To me Kurt is very very taken in by appearance, first and foremost: Sam’s good looking, he seems certain of himself and isn’t visibly intimidated by the pecking order at school, and finds himself a place in the popular echelons without too much trouble and isn’t a jerk about it. “Not being a jerk” is what would take Kurt from initial interest to getting to know Sam more, and from there it’s a little tricky because – like Blaine with Kurt – Sam first existed in the show just to sort of be a blank canvas to showcase Quinn against.
SO throwing canonical inconsistencies of character to the wind and presuming that Sam was, all along, the Sam who he became further into the show, I think that the initial framework of how they first interacted – Sam needing Kurt’s help with the donated clothes, Kurt wanting Sam to duet with him and Sam being willing – would carry them easily into Sam letting Kurt see the less impressive sides of himself. The learning difficulties, what he had to do to help support his family, the impressions and geeking out and the body issues.
Sam, I don’t think, really tried putting up that much of a front; he had his personal code of honour and a really specific sense of dignity, but he’s kind of unregulated in a goofy, good-hearted fashion. He wouldn’t think twice about showing all that vulnerability to Kurt in an"if you’re cool with this then great, if not then oh well we’ll still be pals" kind of way.
And I think Kurt might find that a little overwhelming at first – the full force of Sam’s personality and the weird places his lack of social grace or care about keeping up appearances poke through – but if they could work through that, and find a way for Kurt’s propriety to remain intact while he got more indulgent of Sam’s peccadilloes and loosened up on his own terms, they’d be pretty good together. Maybe not long-term but also I feel like they’d both throw in a lot of affection and effort without it feeling suuuuuuper serious and intense which would be good for them while they’re getting comfortable with who they are.

I think Sebastian would end Cooper’s ego in a second. He isn’t a guy easy to impress so for me he would treat him like any other guy, especially if he is aware how Blaine is affected about him being always the favourite of everyone. So he would respect Cooper as soon as he shows the same towards his brother. And doing that he would earn Cooper approval too bc behind his ego I dont really think he liked Kurt when it was so easy to him to throw himself on him just for being a good looking guy from a tv commercial.
And about Sam, I think he would feel a bit threatened but because of his misconception that he isnt good enough for Blaine but as soon as he realized that they are only platonic soulmates everything would be ok between them.I think Sebastian would respect their friendship more than Kurt ever did.

yeah, your point is valid anon but I like the idea of a seblaine’s wedding anyway.
Well, that’s why I often write about them marrying or proposing.
But yeah, I think Sebastian is not a guy of any labels so probable he thinks about marriage as only a legal paper and for Blaine, he never let his worst moments in life defining him( take the prom as an example). He is a guy who faces his fears and after he gets over them, he would do it especially if he thinks that sebastian is the one who want to do it.But not as a self-sacrifice as he always did with Kurt, as a thank you for showing him what real reciprocated love can be.

Sebastian is only romantic for Blaine in the canon and in the fanon. The guy who fell in love for only 20 minutes invited him coffee twice, serenated him with all his friends and even(when we all know it was a mistake because Kurt never deserved Blaine) he let him go and helped him to to this big proposal even when his heart was breaking into million pieces.
I always think that Sebastian would spoil Blaine in every way possible because he was aware how he was the only one who never was spoiled in klaine relationship.
Sebastian would put the moon down if Blaine wanted it. So for me: he would buy chocolates, flowers, his favourite comics and films. He would bring him breakfast to the bed.
He would have all the big romantic gestures that Blaine loves so much. For me it’s a fact that after klivorce, they ended up together and Sebastian propose him in Eiffel Tower.
