one of my new years resolutions was to quit nicotine, and i’ve cut my average daily use of nicotine in half, and no one warns you about how hungry you get. everyone’s all irritability this, crash out that, no tells you that you’ll basically become Galactus, cursed with insatiable eternal hunger.
I got an earth stress bal at a pride event at my school, so I gave it to Galactus.

Eat up, chump.
We all know Galactus, the gigantic cosmic being who devours planets, master of the Silver Surfer and regular enemy of the Fantastic Four. Since the Inhumans are regular allies of the Four, they have fought Galactus a number of times.
In an adaptation, Galactus will be tied in with the Four, as will the Inhumans, but I’m not sure they’ll ever specifically cross paths. All casting as previously mentioned.
I herald…GALACTUS!!! 🔥

(See previous post for process pix!) 😊
Marvel Studios’ third and final movie of 2025 was The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which I really enjoyed!
After the disappointing “cosmic cloud” version of “Galactus” seen briefly in 2005’s Fantastic Four movie, it TRULY was a pleasure and thrill to FINALLY see a COMIC-ACCURATE GALACTUS on screen for the first time!
I thought he looked amazing, and loved this movie’s visually stunning 1960’s retro-futuristic design of Earth 828!
I also thought they finally nailed the look of Ben Grimm/the Thing on-screen, really liked H.E.R.B.I.E. (their robotic assistant), the female Shalla-Bal Silver Surfer (Norrin Radd will arrive soon enough, y'all!), the Future Foundation, the Fantasticar and Baxter Building, and the whole family-focus (especially the pivotal introduction of Franklin Richards, with that mind-blowing birth scene!)
I thought the whole cast did a superb job, though I did have a few minor issues with the script, particularly with Reed; as the proverbial smartest guy in the world and 4 years into his superhero career, I wish they’d showcased his confidence and intelligence a bit more.
I get that they were facing extremely daunting, unprecedented circumstances, but for example if they’d had Reed figure out the alien language (instead of Johnny!) I think that would’ve been more in character (for both of them).
But overall, I thought it was, well…Fantastic! (sorry 😬 lol)…and of course, that first little glimpse of Doom with Franklin in the mid-credits scene…whoo-hooo! 🥳🥳🥳
* This set was my first time using watercolors on sketch cards!
* This was my very first Galactus sketch card!
* All sketch cards in this set are based on the Marvel comics versions of these characters (not the movie versions)
