Wasteful of water and electricity. They’ve computerized functions that worked better analog. The money saved on purchase is nothing compared to the extra bucks it’s costing in inefficiency.

Welcome to the 1960s, where “color coordination” wasn’t just a suggestion, it was a lifestyle choice bordering on a religious obligation. Here we see the peak of mid-century domestic multitasking: roasting a twenty-pound bird, baking three casseroles, and gossiping on a rotary-style landline, all while wearing white stiletto pumps and a dress the exact shade of “Panicked Pink.” This GE range has more chrome than a 1958 Buick and enough thermal output to heat a small village, yet our protagonist remains perfectly un-smudged. It’s the ultimate retro-tech fantasy: a world where your appliances match your outfit, and the laws of physics regarding “grease splatters” simply do not apply.

“Riding Into The new year”
Amtrak P42DCs No. 100 and 191 lead train No. 5, the westbound California Zephyr, through the farmland towards Lincoln, Nebrakska. The clock has struck midnight signaling the arrival of the new year as the passengers and crew have their own celebrations.

I was reading the house of leaves today and i realised. It is just like grave encounters 1 and 2, but if there was a third generation.
let me explain
The House of Leaves is an ergotic novel that lays the basis for 90% of liminal horror in modern media. It may not be directly referenced but chances are something else that has been referenced is. The book is told from the perspective of a tattoo parlor bum who goes mad reading a dead man’s notes of a lost media film and documentary of a house that expanded forever. Let me run this down once more, because it is hard to understand.
First thing that happened chronologically was the Navidson’s House, it started to create space where space should not exist.
Then, A documentary was made about it called the Navdison Record.
This then gets lost or destroyed
The old Man, Zapano’, somehow finds it and becomes obsessed with it, eventually leading him to madness and then death.
Then our protagonist finds Zapano’’s notes and begins to get obsessed too.
The final book that we read is his summary of Zapano’s notes.
This is basically what grave encounters 2 did, just less layers.
The Asylum has demons and hauntings from an abusive past
Ghost hunters go there, record everything
The building itself drives the final man, Lance Preston/ Sean Rogerson, mad
The movie is published
Alex Wright discovers the film
He becomes obsessed with the film
The building also leads him to insanity.
All my fixations are the same fucking thing bruh
Our boss told me that he used to work for GE (I assume in Europe, since that’s where we live) and that GE had/has a rule that employee turnover must be at least 10% per year.
a) that sounds insane but just plausible enough - is it true?
b) if it is true, how on earth haven’t they run out of qualified people to hire?
