Couldn’t write much due to lack of time…
Just half a chapter then retired for the night. Super Derek Underpants, my free online novel. Thought of Sara and her drafting. I guess she’s being careful. As Ryan said, nobody will read you again after you put out boring stuff. Tried to make SDU exciting as possible, with some emotional exchanges, macgyvering, and unlikely characters.
The fact I serialize this on my Blogger / DogBlots for free is motivation to write another 10 or so chapters. Almost 1am. My new $40 Casio should arrive tomorrow. Can’t wait to try it on. Should be my go to beater.

Chapter 2 of Super Derek Underpants is underway…
Derek just escaped torture and certain death at the end of chapter one. Chapter two begins with more trouble for the hero, and a closer look into the powerful secretive players that shape him and break him. Why keep the reader waiting.
If you’re into shorter fiction, reading SDU online on DogBlots / blogspot is actually easy as each chapter is broken down into 8 sub-chapters of around 600 words.
SDU is really a comic book in prose. We now see how vulnerable Derek is, tho super-powered, which makes for good further chapters I had plotted last night on Substack. Yes, SDU is free to read and to share.

Today I’m testing out a few styling products from my VO5 gift box, focusing on how they work on Black male hair — texture, control, and everyday wear.
