A Nice Photo I Took of an Ornamental Plum Tree in our Backyard

I’m not a professional photographer but I’m not like a starter photographer, I’m kinda in the middle. I’m currently taking Photography classes at my school and I actually have my own camera which is really nice. When I was taking these photos it was raining so drops kept getting on my lens making it have a hard time focusing. I got lots of nice photos either way though.

The Calendula officinalis, also called pot marigold, is a herbaceous plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. Native to the Mediterranean region, it is widely cultivated for its bright yellow or orange flowers. This annual plant can be recognized by its slightly hairy stems, its elongated leaves, and its daisy-like flowers that generally open in the sunlight.

Since ancient times, calendula has been valued for its many medicinal properties. Its flowers contain various active compounds, including flavonoids, carotenoids, and saponins, which give it anti-inflammatory, healing, and antiseptic properties. For this reason, it is often used in the production of creams, ointments, and infusions intended to soothe skin irritations, promote the healing of small wounds, and reduce certain inflammations. In herbal medicine and natural cosmetics, calendula is also known for its soothing and protective effects on the skin.
