WRESTLING’S ONE AND ONLY DRAGON LADY
[[MORE]]Awesome. Powerful. Dangerous. These are just a few of the words that come to mind when you encounter “The Dragon Lady”, Flame.
From her mane of fire-red hair to her long leather boots, along with the impressive dragon tattoo covering much of her body, Flame is an explosive force to reckon with. Barely 5’5” and weighing in at 130 pounds, this colorful gladiator is ready to do battle with anyone who gets in her way.
If you’ve seen her in live action or on the nationally syndicated LPWA shows (as well as in the recent AMERICAN ANGELS movie), you know that Flame is a wrestler who wants to win at any and all costs.
Flame started her career as a rulebreaker but soon changed her ways and became a fan favorite, but that was a short-lived move. It wasn’t long before Flame decided that abiding by the rules was too much of a drag and keeping the fans’ support just wasn’t worth the effort.
“It doesn’t matter who’s the hero or the villain,” Flame said, “in the ring the name of the game is survival of the fittest. Oh sure, you can get off on having the crowd cheering you on, but when you’re getting worked over or double teamed, it doesn’t mean a thing. Well, I wound up with a couple of injuries that almost put me out of wrestling for good and you know who I have to thank for them? One of those so-called “nice” girls! That was enough for me!”

Flame felt that being on the dark side helps keep her opponents off guard. After all, they never know what move she’ll pull out of her bag of tricks and it always keeps them off guard. For example, she may brawl in one match or utilize scientific maneuvers in another. OR she may even combine bits and pieces of the many holds and moves she knows, and use them all to brutalize her opponent before she pins her.
“I don’t like to stick with one particular pattern,” Flame explained. “Opponents can become familiar with another’s style and sooner or later they’ll be able to spot her one special move. Then, BANG, it’s all over. I like to keep the others worried, if they let me.” If they let her?!
“Yeah, I’ve had a lot of trouble a lot of times with some of the stuff I do. I’ve got one hold, a version of a pile-driver and it’s pretty brutal. Nobody’s ever told me I can’t use it, but once in a while I’ll get the hint that I may be disqualified if I do.”
Flame doesn’t think very highly of referees. “Some of those guys really get to me. They always seem to watching out for the fan favorites,“ she complained. I’ll tell you, one match was a real farce. Every time I started to show the favorite up, the ref would stop everything and haul me off of her. Hell, once I had her pinned and he actually dumped me off her! Another match had him disqualifying me because that little wimp claimed I was using a foreign object to hurt her!”
“Let me tell you right now, I don’t need any weapons or foreign objects. For one thing, there isn’t nay place to hide one in my ring outfit! And for another, why would I need any weapons or hidden objects. My whole body is a weapon! But some of those referees, boy, what they’ll do to protect those little….”

If this sort of thing bothers her so much, then why is Flame still wrestling?
“I like the combat!” she snapped. I’m a warrior, a fighter. The dragons on my body stand for that and more. I know I’m one of the best and I’m ready to match my power and skill against any opponent. Of course, there’s also the money. I may enjoy the action, but I’m not stupid.”
There’s also another reason to which she reluctantly admits. “All right, there’s also the championship. Hey, it’s tempting! I mean it tells everybody that you’re the best. And it also means big bucks! I’ll tell you and anybody who’s reading this right now, I’m ready to go after anybody’s gold. I don’t care if it’s Susan Sexton, Misty Blue, Bambi…I don’t even care if it’s one of The Nasty Girls! It doesn’t matter. If they’re between me and the title, that’s all that counts!”
With her unique, intimidating and futuristic cyber-punk look, Flame would be at home in both the present and the bizarre ultra violent future of BLADE RUNNER and MAD MAX type movies. It also says something about the lady herself; Flame does her things her own way and doesn’t follow convention.
While she is deeply involved in the world of professional wrestling, Flame has other interests and one in particular that is making her think about a second career. “I’ve been getting interesting in acting. It’s nothing new. Quite a few wrestlers have been doing film work. I played a character called “Biker Mama” and I got a chance to do a little acting as well as wrestle for that picture.” (It’s doubtful that fans will forget her in the sauna room sequence!)
“Dragon Lady” is out to prove that she is indeed a force to be reckoned with. “You know what they say about fire. Well, just remember anyone who wants to take on Flame just might get burned!”
