Nope. If you wish to participate and you do not have a discord or you are under the age of 18 the mods just need to know another way to contact you and put you in touch with your artist/writer. There will be a space on the sign up form for “Best way to contact you”.

The role ‘UI artist’ refers only to the design of the UI. Most, if not nearly all programming will be done by mod Bee in html, css, and parts in javascript.
Most of the site’s programming will be pretty basic, so we don’t initially need other programmers. However, there might still be more complicated code needed, bug fixing, or other miscellaneous help needed with the programming. If you’d like to help with that, select ‘technical help’ as your role! If you’re accepted, you will be added to our discord server without an assigned chapter, and we will call on you where needed!
As for submitting the code, we have a discord server where all contributors will be working together and where all final products will be submitted, including any code you write! (If the code is too long to fit in a message, you can transfer it through docs or send it via email. Similarly, artworks will be sent through a google drive as to not lose quality.) That way, it’s all in one place and it’s easy to keep track of, and for each of our contributors to know where to put and find everything.
No worries! It isn’t actually posted specifically anywhere, because we like to be flexible and accommodating.
We will accept new signups until proposals are posted in the Discord server, so late February 7th/early February 8th. If you aren’t sure you’ll want to sign up, but want to give yourself as much time to decide as possible, I’d recommend sending in an ask off anon or directly messaging us, so we can invite you to the Discord server. Members of the server tend to get early updates, and once we get started, the event will be primarily run there.
The discord server is primarily for the event, but we also have general social activity all year, even when the event isn’t running. If nothing else, it gives you a direct communication line to all of the mods, and many of us are involved in moderating other events, so that can be pretty handy. (:

The collection is only Anonymous for now, because it is a “Secret Santa”. After every goft has been shared, we will reveal the collection, and everyone will see who their Santa was.
We as moderators are NOT uploadong the fics, that is up to the Santas to do.
If you have questions about how this process works, you need to directly message one of us. It is Christmas Day and very difficult to respond to asks effectively.

Not quite, it’s not a comic it’s a 1:1 recreation made by multiple artists each working on 1 frame each! So for example, if you wish to participate then youd be working on just 1 frame

If you still have a pending mark, i would double check that the collection you submitted to is the correct one.

We are in multiple timezones! I am happy to say definitively, as long as it’s the 16th somewhere.
The collection is set up as anonymous and unrevealed, so anything posted to it will remain hidden until we manually release those restrictions, and we won’t post anything submitted to us here on tumblr or via email early. Submitting “early” is fine.
At least one of the main characters from the work should be an Antivan Crow. Both original Crow characters and canon Crow characters/NPCs are acceptable.
Your piece may be from a non-Crow character’s point of view as long as their friendship, relationship, or interaction with the Crow character is an important factor in the piece. For example, you may write a piece from the Hero of Ferelden’s POV about their relationship with Zevran, or you may write a ship-focused piece from Neve’s POV as long as she is romancing a Crow character, such as Lucanis or an Antivan Crow Rook.
Unconfirmed headcanons in which canon characters/NPCs become Antivan Crows do not meet the exchange criteria for Crow characters. For example, a headcanon where Taash becomes an Antivan Crow post-Veilguard, does not qualify a fic for the exchange unless another Crow character is involved. Similarly, an AU in which a non-Crow character, such as Hawke or the Hero of Ferelden, belongs to the Antivan Crows would not be eligible.
Nominations are how you let the mods know which tags you want to see fic/art created for during the exchange!
Because ship/character tags may or may not exist and can be formatted in so many different ways, defining a tagset before the exchange starts makes it easier for the mods to match participants’ offers and requests. It also ensures that the characters & ships you’re interested in are eligible for the exchange!
Each account can nominate up to 20 tags for the exchange.
Note: nominating tags does not obligate you to participate in the exchange! Anyone with an AO3 account can nominate tags - it’s just a way of saying “I’d like to see more content for this character/ship”.
