Authors note: I wanted to write a fanfic about exodus cause theyre my fav band atm and theres no fanfics (I havent written a fanfic in awhile so sorry if this sucks 😭) but I hope you guys enjoy it :)
Prologue: The year was 1982. You were best friends with Kirk Hammett and he was in a new metal band called Exodus. You were close friends with everyone in the band as well. You meet their new guitarist and everything changes.
Chapter 1:
“Hey Y/N.” Your best friend Kirk says smiling at you in the hallway. “Oh hey.” You wave back. “Soo are you free after school?” Kirk says. “Uh yeah.” She said. “I was thinking you could come over and hang cause Im gonna be playing my first gig with my new band.” He said. “Wait your in a band?” Y/N looks at Kirk. “Well we just formed like a month ago but were taking things seriously now and I want you to be there.” He says smiling. Y/N feels excited. “I’ll go.” She smiled. “Okay awesome.” He smiles. “Oh uh also theres someone new in the band youll like hes really sweet.” Kirk adds. “Okay cool see ya.” Y/N walks to her first class.
Chapter 2:
After school Y/N heads over to Kirks house. She knocks at the door. A guy with dark fluffy hair opens it greeting her. “Heyy Y/N whats up my man?” Paul the lead singer gives her a high five. “Hey paul.” She giggles. “Its been a hot minute since Ive seen you.”
He says walking with her to the garage where the band was abouta play their first gig. She sees the other guys Tom and Rob and a guy shes never seen before. “Whos that?” She asks confused slightly. “Oh thats our new guitarist Gary Holt.” “Hes a super chill guy.” Paul points at him. The boy had medium length hair that was a shag cut and was wearing a denim vest with jeans and sneakers. He was actually kinda cute. Y/N found herself zoned out looking at him a little too long. He around and sees Y/N and locks eyes with her with a smile. “Oh whos this?” The guy asks. “This is Y/N.” “Y/N this is Gary Holt our new guitarist.” Paul smiles. “Its very nice to meet you.” He says shaking her hand. “Nice to meet you too.” You smile and lock eyes with him again. *Theres something about this guy*
You think to yourself. “HEYY Y/N YOU MADE IT!” Kirk shouts excitedly running over to you. He looks at Gary. “Looks like you met Y/N.” Kirk smiles. “Yeah she seems hella cool.” Gary says looking at her. “Yep shes been my best friend since middle school.” Kirk gives Y/N a side hug. “Kirks great.” Y/N smiles. Gary smiles. “Well Im assuming you like heavy metal.” Gary stands by her. “Yeah duh its the best genre ever.” You smirk. Gary laughs. “Hell yeah it is.” He laughs. A crowd starts forming around the garage. “Welp good luck at your show.” Y/N says. “Thanks.” He smiles and walks over to the rest of the band.
Chapter 3:
The band plays. You headbang and are really enjoying yourself. Gary was shredding away and constantly looking your way and smirking. You blushed feeling flattered he’d notice you. You kept smiling and having a good time. After the show the guys were all sweaty and tired but filled with adrenaline from the show. “That was fucking sick.” Kirk smiled. “What did you think Y/N?” He says. “I loved it man.” You smiled at him.
“Did you have a good time?” Gary asks standing by you again and you feel nervous all of a sudden. “Oh yeah totally you guys were awesome.” You smile. Gary blushes a little. “Im glad heh. I mean it was my first show after all I hope I did okay.” He says feeling a little shy now. “Yeah you sounded awesome man.” You smile. Gary once again locked eyes with you. *Why do we keep doing this? Does it mean something?* You think to yourself. “Hey uh hopefully I can see you again.” Gary smiles. “Yeah I’ll probably be back tomorrow cause Kirk and I hang out all the time.” You say. “Okay cool see ya around Y/N.” Gary smirked. “See ya.” You smile. *Hopefully I get to see him again*
Chapter 4:
Weeks go by and you find yourself thinking about Gary the more you hung out with him. You both constantly stared at each other and laughed at each others stupid jokes. You guys clicked instantly and you felt an instant spark.
You go over to Kirks house because it was Saturday and you didnt have school. “Wassup Y/N?” Kirk smiled. “Heyy guys.” Y/N smiles. “Hey.” Tom says smiling while watching TV. “I bet she came back for gary.” Kirk smiles teasing you. Y/N blushed a little. “Nahh I just missed you guys.” She smiles. Tom and Kirk looked at each other and laughed. “I dunnoo.” Tom looked at you. “What do you mean?” You were confused.
“I mean Gary seems to like you alot Y/N.” Kirk says. “Wait really?” Y/N was suprised. “Yeah he thinks your a cool person. I know you’ve been talking about dating someone for awhile now sooo.” Kirk smiles. “I think you two would be so cute together.” Tom says teasingly. You roll your eyes. “Guys stop.” You giggle. “Whaat Im just saying.” Tom says. You sigh. “I mean hes not a ugly guy.” You smile while looking at the floor. “Oooooo.” Tom and Kirk says in unison. “Guys stop.” You felt embarassed but smiled. They laugh.
Gary walked out of the bathroom. “Whats going on?” He was confused. “Nothin.” Kirk smiled. Tom tried not to laugh. “Y/N likes youuu.” Kirk laughed. Gary looks at you. “Wait really?” He says with genuine curiosity in his eyes. “I-I uh I dunno.” You smile. He smirked. “I mean its cool if you do.” He took a step closer to you. You go wide eyed and blushed. He smiles. “Aww your blushing.” He says teasing. Kirk and Tom giggle. “We’ll leave you two love birds alone.” Tom says. They both giggle as they leave the room. “Welp. I guess its just you and me.” He says stepping closer.
You were blushing hard. He steps even closer inches from your lips. You werent sure of what to do until he pulls you closer closing the gap between you and him. He wraps his arms around your waist kissing you further. Eventually you guys let go. Gary was slightly flustered. “I-Im sorry I hope I didnt make you uncomfortable.” He says. “N-no its okay.” Gary smirks. “I do like you tho Y/N.” He holds your waist. “Your honestly the coolest person Ive ever met and I think your so pretty and just a sweet person.” He says. “Im so happy we’ve been friends for so long and I really wanna be with you.” He draws circles on your hips. “I-I feel the same way.” You smiled and kissed him on the cheek. “Im glad you do.” Gary smiles. You both hug.
Exodus 25
The LORD said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the people of Israel, that they take for me a contribution. From every man whose heart moves him you shall receive the contribution for me. 3 And this is the contribution that you shall receive from them: gold, silver, and bronze, 4 blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, goats’ hair, 5 tanned rams’ skins, goatskins,[a] acacia wood, 6 oil for the lamps, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, 7 onyx stones, and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece. 8 And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell in their midst. 9 Exactly as I show you concerning the pattern of the tabernacle, and of all its furniture, so you shall make it.
10 “They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Two cubits[b] and a half shall be its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. 11 You shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and outside shall you overlay it, and you shall make on it a molding of gold around it. 12 You shall cast four rings of gold for it and put them on its four feet, two rings on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it. 13 You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. 14 And you shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark by them. 15 The poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be taken from it. 16 And you shall put into the ark the testimony that I shall give you.
17 “You shall make a mercy seat[c] of pure gold. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth. 18 And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. 19 Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. Of one piece with the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends. 20 The cherubim shall spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, their faces one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubim be. 21 And you shall put the mercy seat on the top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you. 22 There I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are on the ark of the testimony, I will speak with you about all that I will give you in commandment for the people of Israel.
23 “You shall make a table of acacia wood. Two cubits shall be its length, a cubit its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. 24 You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a molding of gold around it. 25 And you shall make a rim around it a handbreadth[d] wide, and a molding of gold around the rim. 26 And you shall make for it four rings of gold, and fasten the rings to the four corners at its four legs. 27 Close to the frame the rings shall lie, as holders for the poles to carry the table. 28 You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, and the table shall be carried with these. 29 And you shall make its plates and dishes for incense, and its flagons and bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold. 30 And you shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before me regularly.
31 “You shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand shall be made of hammered work: its base, its stem, its cups, its calyxes, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it. 32 And there shall be six branches going out of its sides, three branches of the lampstand out of one side of it and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side of it; 33 three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on one branch, and three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on the other branch—so for the six branches going out of the lampstand. 34 And on the lampstand itself there shall be four cups made like almond blossoms, with their calyxes and flowers, 35 and a calyx of one piece with it under each pair of the six branches going out from the lampstand. 36 Their calyxes and their branches shall be of one piece with it, the whole of it a single piece of hammered work of pure gold. 37 You shall make seven lamps for it. And the lamps shall be set up so as to give light on the space in front of it. 38 Its tongs and their trays shall be of pure gold. 39 It shall be made, with all these utensils, out of a talent[e] of pure gold. 40 And see that you make them after the pattern for them, which is being shown you on the mountain.

Empyrean | Syndicate Captain | Affliction: Perfect Pitch
Braum was one of the earlier concepts I created for my story Exodus. I knew I wanted him to be a child prodigy, but his design came to me really slowly then BAM. This idea just stuck in my head.
Braum has natural talent, but does he have time to hone it all? The Syndicate’s enemies declare war on the realm, and as a captain, Braum has to fight on the frontlines. Despite his youth, Braum proudly walks the path of war against Gods forged from battle.

“You shall not spread a false report.
