2 things hit me. That “trump’s DOJ”, but also the electric vehicle suit.
Image of press release is in this essay, it shows header: trump’s.
The message of the suit is to block California from moving to EV.
The market in CA is so big it wags the country.

Henceforth purple haze and O2 masks for drivers.

AAG Harmeet Dhillon claimed [gasp] that dozens! and dozens! of fraudulent votes were found. Like…1 per state.

But trump has a grudge, so Fulton and Maricopa get pounded again.

Jay Kuo with details on how they came in sideways to grab records, where it leads later.

First came the February raid on Fulton County, Georgia, where the FBI seized millions of paper ballots and voter roll data from county election offices, with Tulsi Gabbard mysteriously lurking nearby. At the time, election experts and county election officials issued a stark warning: This was a bald attempt to subvert the democratic process and relitigate long-debunked election conspiracy claims.

Now it’s another major jurisdiction in another swing state—Maricopa County in Arizona. Yesterday, the GOP leader of the Arizona Senate, Warren Petersen, announced that on Saturday he had turned over records to the FBI relating to the 2020 presidential election. He gave no prior notice to the public of the official demand for records, which he received on Friday. Instead, he claimed, after the fact, that he was simply complying with a federal grand jury subpoena relating to a Republican-ordered audit of the vote count.

No one doubts that these events in Fulton and Maricopa counties are connected. But what do they indicate about what’s really going on, beyond the general storyline that “they’re messing with the midterms”?

The real reason, once you unpack what’s happened, is quite concerning. A code red, I’d argue. Before we get to that, let’s talk about what just occurred in Arizona.

Pam Bondi is proposing a new rules that would exempt her DOJ attorneys from state bar rules of ethics that bind most attorneys. For the next few weeks, we can submit comments. I have submitted a comment decrying the rule and recommend that you do, too. The link to do so is in her bio and I will also attach a link as a comment to this post. This is important. Thank you.

It looks like the DOJ isn’t going to break up Live Nation and Ticketmaster

After a high-profile antitrust lawsuit, the U.S. Justice Department said Monday that it has tentatively settled with Ticketmaster and its parent company, Live Nation.
After merging in 2010, the combined Live Nation and Ticketmaster control the majority of ticket sales and venue bookings in the U.S., leaving talent little choice but to work with these companies. Customers have been fed up for…

Argument to Check DHS/DOJ and the Executive Branch

Conclusion 1:

ICE enforces civil immigration law and serves the civil Immigration Court system. Criminal conduct must be handled by agencies with criminal jurisdiction. ICE has no general criminal arrest authority and cannot arrest even criminal aliens for crimes; they must wait for the agency with statutory criminal authority to make the criminal arrest. ICE’s jurisdiction is limited to civil immigration enforcement involving aliens.

Conclusion 2:

The Department of Justice has an obligation to investigate federal officers who act outside the authority Congress has granted. If ICE personnel engage in actions beyond their statutory civil immigration mandate, DOJ is responsible for ensuring accountability under federal law.

Conclusion 3:

Congress has already defined the limits of ICE’s authority in statute, but neither Congress nor the federal courts have addressed ICE’s oversteps involving U.S. citizens because no case presenting these issues has been brought before the judiciary. Under separation‑of‑powers principles, the courts cannot interpret or constrain executive action without a live case or controversy, and Congress typically relies on judicial clarification before legislating against executive overreach. The absence of a judicial ruling therefore prevents meaningful congressional oversight, creating a structural gap in which statutory limits exist but remain unenforced.

Summation:

The courts will ultimately hear these cases, and our constitutional structure will remain intact despite the appearance of crisis created by executive overreach.

Laboratory Agrees to Pay More than $200,000 for Improper Billing to West Virginia Medicaid Program

Laboratory Agrees to Pay More than $200,000 for Improper Billing to West Virginia Medicaid Program

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA –IntegraLabs, Inc. (Integra), a Tennessee-based corporation, has agreed to pay a combined total of $208,624.40 to the United States of America and State of West Virginia for improper billings made to the West Virginia Medicaid Program. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia and the Office of the West Virginia Attorney General, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, partnered to hold this laboratory responsible for its False Claims Act violations.
“This joint effort between the Department of Justice and the State of West Virginia is an example of a successful federal and state partnership which yielded real results in combatting fraud, waste, and abuse,” said U.S. Attorney Matthew L. Harvey. “I commend the investigative team for its skillful work in this matter and look forward to future cooperative endeavors to protect the West Virginia Medicaid program.”
“We are committed to protecting the integrity of West Virginia’s Medicaid program and this settlement reflects that commitment and what is possible when state and federal partners work together. Fraudulent billing robs taxpayers and hurts the patients the program is designed to serve — and we will continue to pursue those who abuse it,” Attorney General McCuskey said.
Integra provides laboratory services, including drug testing, and is enrolled in the West Virginia Medicaid Provider network. According to the settlement, the United States and State of West Virgina contend Integra violated the law by repeatedly submitting billings to the West Virginia Medicaid program for medically unnecessary testing ordered by medical providers over a two-year period.  Specifically, it is alleged that Integra submitted improper claims for specimen validity testing that were not allowable.
This case was litigated on behalf of the United States by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Christopher Prezioso and Jordan V. Palmer. It is the result of a cooperative investigation by the Department of Justice; the West Virginia Attorney General’s Office, West Virginia Medicaid Fraud Control Unit; the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General; and the West Virginia Bureau for Medical Services.
The claims resolved by this settlement are allegations only, and there has been no determination of liability.
The West Virginia Attorney General Medicaid Fraud Control Unit receives 75 percent of its funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under a grant award totaling $3,094,936.70 for Federal fiscal year (FY) 2026. The remaining 25 percent, totaling $1,031,645.56 for FY 2026, is funded by The State of West Virginia.

Do that again

Remember about 30-40 years ago when the NYPD ran the sting to get criminals with outstanding warrants? They had a target invite to these individuals under the auspice of free game tickets or something like that… and a few hundred showed up and were easily arrested.

ICE should run similar stings across the USA all on the same day.
