doh!
Creativity is born from human emotions: desire, curiosity, empathy, and even vulnerability. An AI can simulate a style, but it cannot “well up with a tear” or feel the spark of inspiration.

ALTContent often gets judged by the words on the surface. What changes when attention shifts to the intention, care, and attention that shaped those words?

A message can be technically correct yet feel strangely hollow. Could the difference lie not in the information, but in the presence involved in creating it?

this part is about the finished mintberry set and how it worked once built. these pics include mockups and final product. the flooring is light-toned wood, like honey pine, with visible variation in sunlight that the mockups didn’t account for. we tested curtain opacity, lighting, furniture placement, and camera angles inside the mintberry set. some shots blocked more light, others let it flood in. the layout stayed mostly the same. there are two side doors in the mintberry set: one closet and one hallway off the set. yes we used ai to mock up, no don’t judge us XD

March of the Writers - Day 7 - Tune in or Tune out (MOTW PLAYLIST)

I didn’t mean to write a psychological thriller, but one of my characters refused to behave. 🤦♀️💥
From messy plotboards to a heroine so chaotic she broke every trope, I found myself learning more about grace, grit, and why some stories refuse to stay in their lane.
If you’ve ever had a character take over your story, this one’s for you. https://angelica-kate.com/f/the-heroine-who-hijacked-my-genre✨🖊️
While creating this piece, I wanted to capture a calm, simple moment between two people. I focused on small details like the lighting, hair texture, and tattoos to give the characters more personality and make the scene feel warm and natural.
While working on it, I felt really peaceful almost like I was building a small story through the illustration. For me, this artwork is about how the quietest moments can sometimes feel the most meaningful.

From circuit board to liquid sculpture.
I rebuilt and refined my Arduino drop controller.
Optimized hardware.
Adjusted millisecond timing.
Improved the app interface.
High-speed water photography isn’t luck.
It’s precision.
It’s iteration.
It’s patience measured in milliseconds.
What you see here:
– the electronics
– the control logic
– the app
– and the resulting drop collision
The final image exists for a fraction of a second.
But it begins long before the water falls.

This semester I’m teaching two courses within the Student Research Club of Visual, Performing and Multimedia Arts, which I supervise at the university:
Graphic Design – Foundations (online)
Painting – Foundations (on-site)
Both are built as structured, process-oriented programs. We move from fundamentals to more complex problems: from composition, color, and typography to applied design projects; from light and shadow, material and gesture to space, body, and interpretation.
For me, teaching is not just about technique. It’s about cultivating visual awareness, critical thinking, and the ability to translate ideas into form. It’s also about creating a space for dialogue, experimentation, and intellectual depth within artistic practice.
Working at the intersection of research and studio work is one of the most meaningful parts of my academic role.
Saturday came quietly, without fireworks or confetti. No parade marched down my hallway. No trophy appeared on my desk.
Just a realization.
For one full year, I had posted a blog every single day.
Three hundred sixty-five times, I sat down and turned thought into language. Some days the words flowed like a river in spring. Other days they arrived like stubborn guests, knocking slowly,…
