Am i the only one who wants to look up here on tumblr the fandoms im in but when i wamt to i randomly forget all of them like what💔

Had an insane interaction on my college campus today. There I was, minding my business, sitting at a table and some random dude sits across from me, I don’t stop him cause I don’t own the table.

We sit in silence for a bit before he starts the conversation, basic weather he goes “people are awful and no civilians realize how capable their neighbors are of murder and causing pain” goes on to recommend a movie about the cartel and says it has a scene where people are hung by their wrists over a freeway. He then points at some random person he doesn’t know (I went to high school with the guy he points at) and says, “he’d kill you if he wanted to” which is crazy to say to someone you haven’t even introduced yourself to.

Conversation dies down, I didn’t wanna sit in silence so I ask him what his major is, he’s in Construction Management.

I tell him I’m a History major with a prioritization in secondary education, he pauses and asks “what use is that in real life?” This man then continues to ask that if world war 3 happens what I would do, and without letting me answer he then goes “what’re you going to do in a zombie apocalypse? Teach the zombies history?”, dude basically called my major useless, like managing a construction site will make sure he survives the apocalypse.

That’s not even the craziest part, as he continues, find out he’s stationed at a nearby military base, that’s cool, says he’s living on campus, and then proceeds to talk about how “Ghetto” the city I grew up in is, I mean it is but like, he lives on campus in like the nicest area of the city. He also complained about his roommates which I feel is the tamest part of this whole thing “I live with band kids, they’re so arrogant, think they’re so cool because they play instruments” which is okay, I guess, you do you.

Somehow, this man goes from calling the city ghetto and complaining about roommates to talking about SCHOOL SHOOTING, idk how he got there, but all of a sudden he’s spouting crazy shit.

“school shooting wouldn’t happen so often if the students fought back, they out number the shooter and can overwhelm them” that’s where I really start with drawling from the conversation cause WTF, and then he continues “they could rush the shooter, sure the first row would get shot but then you just step over them and keep going” after that I tell him they’re just people, bit police and they’re not trained for anything like that, and then he goes “then they should make four years of military service mandatory” as if that would help the literal children who are victims of the shooting, like yeah, these first graders are trained soldiers, they served their country straight out the womb till the old age of 4!!

And at that point, I let the conversation die, and left, people are insane, and I shouldn’t have let that conversation go as long as it did.

Crazy how my hockey memories stuck with me lol I remember vividly tagging along while my mom was watching a game sitting on the floor in front of the tv and fixating on Carey Price because of how much praise he got and how cool goalies look in general, not being able to follow the puck with my eyes and loving the sounds of skates and sticks.
