!!!!TECH NERDS INTERACT WITH THIS PLEASE!!!!

so i have this old laptop (a Dell Inspiron 3521), and i want to upgrade its ram (which is a thing i can do! yay)

the thing is, i keep seeing two conflicting ways i could go about it

  1. Dell’s official site says the maximum capacity is 8gb of DDR3/DDR3L. And, it being a Dell product, I am somewhat inclined to believe them.

2. I have seen multiple sites say that i can update to 16gb DDR3/DDR3L, which I want to do.

The laptop has 2 slots, only takes DDR3/DDR3L, and (especially in this economic climate *coughcoughbecauseofAItechbroslop*) I’d rather not waste my money on buying two sticks of 8gb DDR3/DDR3L, when i can save my money, and just buy one 4gb DDR3/DDR3L (as I already have 6gb total on that thing, yes I know it is like, basically nothing. It’s my project laptop, I wanna breathe life back into her. When I found her, she was on Windows 8. Fucking 8. I tried puppylinux for a while, because I could burn it on a CD. It’s cool. Check out Puppy :D)

For over a decade, I had a DLCC Facebook page in addition to my DLCC website up until last year. Towards the end, Facebook, using its facebookexternalhit and meta-externalagent web bots, mercilessly scraped my DLCC website’s content.

In addition to a DLCC Facebook page, I also had a personal Facebook account. Due to me posting too many inconvenient truths and exposing Fraudbook for the ID10TS they were (and are), I was eventually banned from Farsebook permanently. It was one of the best things that ever happened to me. Fakebook is a menagerie of ID10TS

After being banned from Foobook, but before I took down my DLCC website’s content last Halloween, the ID10TS at Fiendbook continued to attempt to scrape my website. It was futile, because, at the time, I had blocked both Flakbook bots in robots.txt. All their scraping hack attempts were met with 403: forbidden errors…

After I took down all my DLCC website content, except for a marker page with a link to this Tumblr account, last Halloween, Freakbook’s bots returned with a vengeance – or so they thought. Now, instead of 403 errors, all their scrape hack attempts were met with 404: not found errors… 😁😁😁

For weeks, Flakebook tried in vain to scrape my DLCC website. After a while, they backed off and returned to their collective of ID10CY…

Now, all of a sudden, they are back again, attempting the same old scrape hacks of the past.

What’s really amusing is if they just followed my DLCC website’s marker page Tumbler link here, they could see my pinned post that has download links to some of the content they were trying to scrape from my website and freely download it. But, no, they are stuck in their closed world of ID10CY… 🙄

Now, it’s Fleecebook’s turn to win a STUPID AWARD!!! (i.e.: an award for being STUPID…) 🏆😆

Hey, Zucky boy, who’s laughing now??? 😆

😆😆😆

Does anyone know anything about computer troubleshooting

My windows 10 laptop is suddenly crashing all the time after nine years of running basically perfectly, and I do NOT want to go shopping for a windows 11 spyware device even if I could afford it, which I can’t

For a while it only crashed on startup, which was annoying but at least the second restart always fixed it, but as of today it’s crashed TWICE mid-session and I’ve already lost unsaved progress on stuff

It’s the blue screen “ran into a problem and needs to restart” message and also sometimes a “Boot device not found” screen on startup. I don’t know the error code on the blue screen because it doesn’t stay there long enough to get a pic, but I’m hoping to catch it one of these days

I switched to zorin Linux. If you’re sick of windows and their enshitification I definitely recommend checking out Linux, have a read of what distros are and see which one is right for you it’s not hard at all to install and to use is really easy. open source all the way.

A Commentary on Linux and Computer Hardware

Apple launched a new series of MacBooks recently called Neo. They are powered by the same chips that power iPhones. I think the company is producing so many new things that something you bought last year seems obsolete. That planned obsolescence cannot be good for the environment because of the e-waste it produces. We are also aware of Windows 11 making many systems obsolete too.

I am glad to do…
