Basic Diagram of Computer

A computer system block diagram provides a structural representation of the computer. This picture provides a quick overview of how a computer works, from entering data to retrieving results. A basic diagram of computer consists of several key components:

Central Processing Unit (CPU): Often referred to as the brain of the computer, the CPU performs calculations and executes instructions from software programs.

Memory (RAM): Random Access Memory stores data and programs that the CPU is currently using, providing fast and temporary storage for quick access.

Storage (Hard Drive/SSD): This component stores long-term data, including the operating system, applications, and user files.

Input Devices: These include the keyboard and mouse, allowing users to input data and commands into the computer.

Output Devices: The monitor or display screen and speakers produce visual and audio output for users to interact with the computer.

Motherboard: This main circuit board connects and facilitates communication between all the computer’s components.

Power Supply Unit (PSU): The PSU provides electrical power to the computer components.

How Coding Encourages Logical Ability?

Coding is interesting but you may find it tricky too sometimes but it’s not just about learning the technological aspects of computer fundamentals and increase the future aspects in the job and just upgrade your skill infact it aslo changes a mindframe to the next level.

As Coding is not meant just to get a dream job by enhancing the skills of coding infact helps in building a great personality via enhancing the positive mindset.

It enlightens the mind to think more efficiently and do smart work and also let’s you achieve the solutions in your life easily,as it also frames the mindset of kid/student to think positive and be productive and clear for future.

Let’s see how it works-

CODING AND LOGICAL THINKING?

1.Coding teaches that mistakes are not just equal to the failure-

So in coding there are many mistakes which could be done but those mistakes does not means that everything ends as the coder improves the mistakes by practising so it brings a positive mindframe.

2.Coding helps you to learn Creative Problem solving technique and never give up-

As Multiple attempts are taken by a coder to reach the solution so it teaches a kid to never give up and think on it and come up with a solution.

3.Coding also tells that being a literate person is necessary in today’s world-

As language plays an important role in programming and coding if you go wrong with it you can’t go ahead so it’s really important to learn it and practice it.

4. Coding also teaches to clear basics and don’t create any confusion and learn from past experiences and move ahead-

As the basics must be cleared and must be confusion free to solve the issues and come up with great innovation.

5.Coding teaches to be creative and innovative-

As many inventions only don’t need the computer knowledge but also need to have creative ideas to come up and see the society around you and solve their problems by pondering over it.

6.Coding do teaches that there is more than one answer-

As fixing a bug could have more than one solution similarly we could have more than one solutions of the problems in our lives.

Conclusion-

So we saw that how could coding encourage logical thinking so its important for kids to learn and upgrade the skills.

Let’s start the training of the kids at the best place for kids to learn codingCode Karo Yaaro.

Code Karo Yaaro is an online coding school presenting specially designed courses for kids from 6 to 15 years of age. Gone are the days when one out of a few fifty people knew about computers. Nowadays, everything is no less than a rat race and technology has become one of the prerequisites to move ahead in life. It is high time to educate and familiarise kids with the concepts that drive the latest technology. You must have undoubtedly heard how programming initiates new innovations in the technical domain. What better way for the children to understand why and how the technology around them operates than by learning to code and adapting to the technology around them.

The objective is to encourage kids to learn computer fundamentals through coding to develop their problem solving and critical thinking ability.

Computer Fundamentals

Nowadays, computers are making jobs easier for people.

Therefore, it is very necessary to have knowledge of Computer basics. In this article, we have covered all the basics of the computer such as what is a computer, definition of computer, basic functions of a computer, generations of computer, classification or types of computer, advantages and disadvantages of a computer, etc.

What is Computer

In 1640, the term ‘Computer’ was initially referred to as ‘ one who calculates ‘. Later in 1897, it was called the ‘ Calculating Machine ‘. In 1945, it was indicated as ‘ programmable digital electronic computer ‘ which is now called a ‘computer’.

What is Computer definition?

“ A computer is a programmable electronic machine designed to take input, perform prescribed arithmetic and logical operations at fast speeds, and provide the output of these operations. “

Basic Functions of Computer

There are four basic functions of the computer: Input, Processing, Output, and Storage.

Generations of Computer

There are five generations of the computer, which are listed below with approximate period:

First Generation (1946–1959)

- Electronic Valves (Vacuum Tubes).
— ENIAC, EDVAC, UNIVAC, etc.

Second Generation (1959–1965)

- Transistors.
— IBM 1620, IBM 1400 and 7000 series, CDC 3600, etc.

Third Generation (1965–1971)

- Integrated Circuits (ICs).
— IBM 360, IBM 370, PDP, etc.

Fourth Generation (1971–1980)

- Very Large Scale Integrated (VLSI) Circuits.
— DEC 10, STAR 1000, CRAY-1 and CRAY-X-MP, etc.

Fifth Generation (1980 — Present)

- Ultra Large Scale Integration (ULSI), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Parallel Processing Hardware.
— Desktop, Laptop, NoteBook, ChromeBook, and UltraBook, etc.

Uses of Computer

Here, we have explained the most important uses of the computer system:

* can store important data.
* can communicate with people around the world.
* used for the educational system.
* used for office works like data entry, support, development, etc.
* used in banking, finance, and marketing.
* used in government sectors.
* used in sports.
* used for Press and publishing.
* used for entertainment.

Classification of Computer

According to usage and functionalities, computers can be classified as:

  • Analog Computer
  • Digital Computer
  • Hybrid Computer

Types of Computer
