hm i won’t go into too much detail about orbital since you haven’t read it, but what i will say is that it is very slow paced, reflective and has very beautiful prose (which is probably why it won the booker prize). if you are someone who enjoys plot and action over something that is philosophical and descriptive then it’s not something you will enjoy.
i got up to 60% in alchemised! i was reading the e-book version that i borrowed via the libby app so luckily i didn’t have to see it looming on my bookshelf lol. i said this in the previous ask but i started contemplating whether i should DNF or not about halfway through.
