Hey, guys! Let’s play a game!
It’s called “The Second Time I Tried to Schedule My Surgery, The Surgical Scheduler Dropped the Ball Calling my Insurance to Verify Coverage and Called Me the Day After I Got My Blood Drawn for a CMP and a CBC, and Because Innovative Health Partners Sucks, I’m Responsible for the Cost!”
Wanna know how much it costs, boys and girls?
I’m a minimum wage Covid Longhauler, btw.
Innovative Health Partners was costing me $218 a month. No surgical coverage. So I upgraded to get surgical coverage, and the cost went up to $312 and change.
Yeah.
I did get the surgery.
But I don’t have Innovative Health Partners anymore.
And before any of you go “Well maybe you should’ve checked your plan documents first,” I did. Ya know what my plan documents consisted of?
A PDF of 14 pages and a pamphlet. Also a PDF.
Basically, at $312 and change a month, unless I was bleeding out in an ambulance and my heart was about explode in my chest, they were only willing to cover my yearly visits. Preventive care.
